Occasionally, to remind someone of what a green light means.

 

For that I just use “the finger”.

 

Pedestrians around here have the right of way. They're standing at the intersection enthralled with their instant gratification device and not seeing me waiting for them to get the hell out of the way so I beep my horn to get their attention. It is entertaining to see the look on their face when they realize there are other people in the world besides themselves.

 

sadly, have to use it quite often between the rednecks in trucks that can't/don't see my car ( WonderWoman Invisi-jet mode I guess) and the soccer moms in their SUVs determined to talk on their phone,put makeup on , text at the same time while feeding their urchins in the backseat

 

I used it yesterday to notify a VW driver that he didnt' know how to drive.

 

It’s also useful to remind people to look up from their phone.

 

That move is know as “The Jersey slide”. They have been doing that move in New Jersey for decades.

The Jersey Side:

Far left lane to exit ramp with no turn signal in 200 feet across 4 lanes of traffic.

Heck man If I knew it was you I'd have waved.

 

I also give the finger to other MINI owners wave at me, especially on Hellbender or the Dragon.

The wave is stupid and you should pay a 100% of your attention to driving on those roads. You may not be diving like an idiot but others may be and they are the ones that hit you.

 

If one can't lift a hand & wave while safely driving, they shouldn't be driving anything anywhere.

No, you car has a horn, but you toot your own more than you toot your car's, so that's why you were confuzled.

 

Rarely if ever. I find trying to educate other drivers via horn or other means to be a waste of time.

 

Every time I go through the tunnel under Beech Field (BEC).

 

I use it to say “hi” to people I see at Fontana or around my area.
