    Thanks for the tip Dave.
    I didn't grind off or sand the paint but I did have to cut the latches for the hood to make the bottom mold.

    To get the steel hood to stay down I've installed hood pins.

    The problem I'm having though is the alignment of the back of the hood. I thought I had put the bolts back in for the hinge where the paint lines were. I guess I'm not as accurate as I'd like to be! I'll keep at it.

    See if you can like it up by the old hinge to hood paint marks. Hope you did not clean or sand them off.

    Note whenever I take off anything hinged I drill two pilot holes through the hinge into the body part and use coat hanger wires to align them before I remove them. This allows me a to use the exact placement the way they were before I took off any bolts or parts.

    Yeah I can't remember crap that's why my wife calls me etch a sketch. :lol: She says if I move my memory gets cleared. I take pictures and write stuff down a lot.
