I bought those exact ones with the intent of putting them on...thats when I found the support bracket, cut it, and the tips still stuck out like 3-3.5 inches past the bumper.

My next idea was to get a large tubing cutter and just cut them in half, drill a couple holes and shove some screws through it.

Now I'm debating returning the tips (though it may be past the deadline) and just having some tips customized at the muffler shop for like $70.

Thanks for the heads up! Sorry they didn't work. I'll have to look for or come up with something else then. :frown5:

Not a very good pic, but the sport tip is on the left.

How far does that thing stick out? Looks like a couple inches minimum...

They do stick out farther than the beer can ones, probably a couple of inches.

I always thought the story behind the "beer can" tips was cool and part of the MINI story.

There is a set of JCW tips for sale on NAM but I have no idea how to make them fit. I know the pipe diameters are different

Dang, I just checked and those Sport tips are $160 at MiniMania. Pricey!

MiniMania is way over priced on just about everything they sell. Check with Classic MINI, they are usually the cheapest dealer source.

    Ah, OK, thanks.
I doubt their prices though are going to be in the $20 or so range like the tips here.
