I bought those exact ones with the intent of putting them on...thats when I found the support bracket, cut it, and the tips still stuck out like 3-3.5 inches past the bumper. My next idea was to get a large tubing cutter and just cut them in half, drill a couple holes and shove some screws through it. Now I'm debating returning the tips (though it may be past the deadline) and just having some tips customized at the muffler shop for like $70.
Thanks for the heads up! Sorry they didn't work. I'll have to look for or come up with something else then. :frown5:
You can try these tips, apparently the CF ones are only $670 Evolution exhaust system for MINI Cooper S (R56) and Cooper S Cabrio (R57) - Akrapovic It's kind of interesting how they retro fit their exhaust tip onto a stock exhaust, if you don't buy their entire system. The ones in the photo use Ti components
There is a set of JCW tips for sale on NAM but I have no idea how to make them fit. I know the pipe diameters are different
MiniMania is way over priced on just about everything they sell. Check with Classic MINI, they are usually the cheapest dealer source.
Ah, OK, thanks. I doubt their prices though are going to be in the $20 or so range like the tips here.
Come over, we can install those new gadgets you got, and I'll donate a couple of beer cans:cornut: Mark
