Yep, those of us just west of the cone of uncertainty are going to enjoy a few days of awesome weather.

To those of you just east of us, please be safe, brains before balls.

 

Yes everyone be safe and it's true...if they tell you to leave, leave...it's not worth it to stay behind.

What an interesting vacation.....

Poor Artemis was shaken pulling into Rehoboth Beach by the earthquake.
Then we arrive back at our hotel last night to find an evacuation notice. We decided to leave last night instead of today when planned- figured we'd beat the panicking idiots clogging the roadways.
Good plan- been hearing all day how roads are a nightmare.

Good luck everyone- I hope we all make it thru with minimal or NO damage.

Oh, and I washed Artemis today in preparation of the hurricane... he won't be leaving the garage for the next couple days

Been watching the Weather Channel this morning. The are covering NC and NY and little to nothing about the Mid-Atlantic. It is only DC which I guess nobody really cares about. :lol:

Glad you are OK Erika. Critters have an extra sense when it comes to weather. Stay safe!

 

Lots of power truck caravans were heading up I 71 this morning out of Cincy. Reinforcements are coming!

 

This is a huge issue still..lol. I might just go over with my box of old adapters and find one that will work for her. Still, she has such a neat house, there are only so many outlets and drawers to look in. I just can't believe that she can't find it. I bet it is plugged into the wall already in her bedroom and she just can't quite get the idea of what it is.

 

All the house plants are inside now, anything that might blow away has been put away or secured.
Oil lamps filled and wicks trimmed, camping lights, flash lights are ready, Camp stove ready, laundry done. Extra potable and flushing water stored, emergency drinking water on hand.
I would love to live by the ocean except for times like this.

 

Wow you guys are really prepared, I'm impressed. Let's hope it's a big non-event for you!
