I hate the popcorn smiley. Not in itself but way people often post with it as the only content. Actually I hate posts that contain only a smiley. If the post is only a LOL or Thumbs Up smiley, it's annoying but at least the writer seems to be expressing something. A post with only a popcorn smiley is pure noise and bumps a thread with no contribution.

Now somebody's going to do it in this thread because I said it.

I don't disagree. The single post of the popcorn smile is not my thing. It's even worse when there are 3-4 posts in row that all have nothing but the popcorn bucket. However, the popcorn will stay as it popular even though I broke a tooth eating popcorn back in Dec that then festered and turned into a massive bit of emergency oral surgery costing me 4 teeth and thousands of dollars.
