Nick I can tell you are a Subaru owner. Rubber floor mats & mudflaps. My MINI wears them too.
If you are going to carry stuff get the rear seat back covers as well. I loved mine it kept the seat backs clean when carrying bigger messier items. MINI Cooper Boot Liner Extension
Just got home with my car. Boy is it dirty. Last owner was a smoker. Ash all over, but burns. I'll give it a complete cleaning over the weekend. Then put some pics. The JCW stuff wasn't on the original sticker so I'm guessing it was a dealer install. The intake and exhaust are there. I'm assuming the injectors and pulley are installed. Is there any way to tell for sure?
Congrats Nick! I can get rid of that smoke smell, trouble is it will be replaced by another nasty one. You tell by looking at the injectors, but you'd have to pull the intercooler to see them. I'd bet all the goodies are there. Oh yes, one more thing. Jim says change your oil!
Nick, I believe all JCW's until 2009 were dealer installed upgrade kits. Happy to hear that it has arrived and looking forward to helping you spend some money on mods.....it is BLACK you know . Me loves black cars!
I had a smokers car years back. Got rid of the smell with some kind of rocks in a mesh bag out of a Lillian Vernon mail order. (Yes I am old.) Like a lava rock or pumice stone. Very porous. Worked fantastic. Absorbed all that stink in no time.
Baking soda does a good job as well. My dad is a smoker so I have experience getting that smell out of stuff. Fabreese also helps once you get it mostly gone. If it is really hard to get rid of pull the seats and shampoo the carpets and headliner. I did this to a Cutlas my mom drove when I was learning to drive, the smell was a turn off to the girls I was chasing so I tried lots of things to get rid of that smell.
