It might have been me..... I do it all the time....

Sometimes I get this strange look if it's a female wondering..... Do I know that crazy guy, flashing his lights and waving at me. Probably a stalker.... Look away, Look away.... what ever you do, don't wave at the crazy guy in the MINI.

Speaking of ... has anyone with the Xenons found that people keep flashing you, thinking that you have your high-beams on? Maybe mine need to be re-aimed, but it's been happening to me quite often lately.

It might be worth checking the aim. They look a lot brighter when they're angled up.

Either that or you've got a bunch of stalkers who are trying to get your attention. Just look away and don't wave at the crazy people. =)

Have you noticed if your automatic level adjusters aren't adjusting?

They still adjust (do the down, up routine when I turn the car on), I just wonder if their final resting place is off kilter.

There was a lot more waving/flashing in the beginning. Then it went away as people started buying Minis for other reasons then owning a Mini. I have become a grizzled Mini owner and stopped being the initiator myself. But it still warms my heart when someone waves or flashes me. Even if they drive a Gen 2. :D

Yep when we first got the Mini other owners seemed to go out of their way to give a wave......now many of the new owners act offended when you wave to them....:( But I still wave away! :)

What's the part number for your four-way-flasher rain coats? I haven't seen those.

    Yeah......
Sometimes it's just me, the trench coat and those big floppy galoshes with the buckles undone.

    Oh...I forgot to mention.....

    I flashed back.

    And waved as well.

And I have no idea what you people are talking about with this "raincoat" stuff.

    But it sounds sinister.
