In my history of automobile ownership there's only two cars that I ever bought two of the same at different times. One was the VW bug back in the late 50's and early 60's. The other was the Mazda Miata (MX-5). I owned two NB's and really enjoyed both of them. However, I tend to follow the mantra: "so many cars, so little time". So, after the last Miata came a FR-S and then my Mini Cooper. I just found out that Miata will be coming out with a retractable fastback (RF) model. I am totally blown away by its design. I found out it won't be available till after the first of next year. When it becomes available I'll be giving it some serious consideration.
I've seen the design and it is a great looking car. I wounder what the carrying capacity will be like with the top up? Now for just a little more power. I guess it can always be boosted.
I see the rear window is still close to the seats so it's still just the trunk. It is a great looking car. I read somewhere that the take rate on the retractable hard top was higher than the rag top on the last gen.
