Glad you are OK, wow what a hit! If it was my car I'd sure push for it to be totaled too. From your description it probably is. Make sure you are paid for the remaining warranty you bought.
Kenny Hawkins in Raleigh is one of the best in the Triangle, prob about an hour east of you. But you're probably going to want to take it to the dealer in Raleigh or W-S. That car sounds like it's totaled. =(
We recently repaired another HR MINI member's R53 with close to $5K worth of damage including rear crossmember, all the right rear suspension and some of the left rear as well as the left door and quarter. She was hit in the left side and driven into a curb on the right. Since they carry a pretty good value, they don't total easily. However, the airbag deployment will help that.
