Agreed, at least for my part. NAM is (was?) NAM. In my case, I was just enforcing the rules that were laid out. In other words, I was doing the damn job that I was asked to do. Different site, different "rules", different attitude. I have to say, I was quite impressed at your lower grill Union Jack when I noticed it at the MOTD Car Show. It was very subtle, and at first glance you don't notice it... then it hits you. Very cool.
Thanks! I've been going for a different look since I creamed my original bumper last fall... the aero bumper begat aero grilles which begat blackout which begat the "shadow jack" concept (UJ with black instead of white) which begat the grille in its current state. Actually repainted it a couple of weeks ago as the first try was TOO subtle... actually takes pretty bright shades of red and blue to work, given that there's so little surface area on the grille. Depending on the angle and lighting, you either don't see it at all, or it stands out a bit... Now have the matching custom chrono face... and may start changing over my other UJs to that shadow jack scheme... thinking hard about losing the stripes altogether... I'm loving the blackout... going for the "mean" cabrio look.... as mean as cool blue can get, anyway...
Hey Blimey. I thought for sure we would spot your car this year at MOTD and finally get to meet you....but we never did. Now that I think about it, we weren't at Fontana village much. We were either busy driving around or slopping around in the mud at the swamp (a.k.a. campground) . Maybe next year.
Cool sight, Glad Xiek told us of it in SOMC on his return from MOTD 7 sounds like a fun event. Will have to try and make it next year. That Cabrio btw is looking better all the time BlimeyCabrio very nice!!!! Regards Scott.
