Ian Stewart, 2009 NASA TTC National Champion and many other accomplishments will be attending MINI Thunder II to do Demo rides in Jan Brueggeman's 400 HP Revolution Motorworks GP MINI and instructing. Here is a little background on Ian (aka MrSideways) Mrsideways.com Ian Stewart Racing
Wouldn't it be FUN if some of the other west coast tuners showed up...sort of a "Showdown at Thunder II"!!! FUN would he had by all!!!
Yeah like thats gonna happen... Better chance of seeing a leprechaun leading a unicorn around. Perfect chance there Lynn to get that MINI that has been off jackstands for months out in the wild. Whats the excuse this time?
Quote ColinGreene "Nitro, Why so serious, all you had to say is i cant make it. No need to make a scene". Suggestion taken. Edited i cant make it
Got the plane ticket today, Excited I've never been to Sacramento nor thunderhill. It's one of the tracks on the to do list. I say this every year but next year I wanna run the 25hrs of thunderhill!!!!
Man, another thread turning into a manhood measuring contest among you performance guys? You all take this car thing way too seriously.
All right, our fearless leader's short stick poking notwithstanding, I will kill this thread the second I sense the crap getting near the fan.
All I can say, is I'm first on the list to go for a ride, and I can't wait!!! I've done laps with amateurs in slower cars, and I left bruised from banging around on the roll cage in the harness. Funny thing is, the faster the ride, the more I know my car can handle to track! Can't wait - and no I won't scream like a girl! But I might collapse when I get out of the car
Nitro, Why so serious, all you had to say is i cant make it. No need to make a scene. Andrew we all know your car is clearly the bestest! Anyways Rae come on down and get your ass kicked. I'd like to see what this track tom foolery is all about anyways. Jerry is this what you had in mind. You know poking can be fun right?
NOTE:::::::: Diapers and barf bags are NOT included on the test rides, please bring appropriate equipmentopcorn: thanks
We have about 90 entries (ALL MINI/Minis) and several coaches/instructors. Looks like a full grid for all run groups. Weather forecast for Sunny, Highs 57F, no rain. Plenty of vendors and sponsors and some special guests. We should get 5ea 20-minute sessions + parade laps and demo rides. Still time to register!
There's three of us from the Clovis area on our way... Hoping maybe more MCM folks will get fired-up, but not sure. We can't wait for the FUN to begin. Cya-all Saturday! :beer
