I was just thinking it would be great if a professional photographer could have a set up at the Dragon for people to get really nice shots of their MINIs. I am one of those people who is challenged in the art of photography and would love to have a couple of nice professional shots of Mozart. I am always so impressed and not just a bit jealous when I see some of the great shots of other people's cars. Anyway, just a thought for next year maybe, to have a photographer that would have a set up of some sort with a pretty background to take a few good shots. I would happily pay for just that type of service.

Yeah, I have a few from Killboy in my '06. I would really like something professionally lit, no driver, that kind of shot. I also have a some from DEs that I love.

Actually there were a lot of you MM, if one kept clicking to the next shot.

BoCRon, If you talked to one of them, they might arrange for a special shooting.

Why not send Killboy & us129photos.com an e-mail with your request. I'm sure they could help you out. I have bought a few pictures from each & they are fine lensmen.

In 2007 a Vic Wolf contacted me. He comes to car shows with a RV. He places a green screen on RV and then takes a picture of your car infront, then super imposes any background you want. A sunset, mountains, etc. It looked really cool. He was all set to come then had some medical emergency with his daughter and had to cancel. Never have been able to get ahold of him since. I think something like that would be awesome and very popular.

Yeah, snooter, that's what I was thinking. Like those old Olan Mills set ups, but for your MINI!

I have a professional camera with some good lenses and I know a lot of other MINIacs have great cameras. Maybe we could try to set up a photo session somewhere. There's no shortage of nice views. I've found MINIs shoot best from a low angle. Playing with different lenses can give different looks.

I'll be wandering around with my camera and am willing to take a stab at shooting any MINIs that want me to.

MOTD seems to be a well documented event. Lots of cameras & lenses about. I too will be shooting a lot.

If it is the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 vr you'll love how tack sharp it is. Only drawback is it gets heavy after a while.

It's the Canon, and it's the largest lens I've ever worked with. I'm practicing on the dogs now.

Daisy and Peanut Smile! Mommy has a new lens to try out....

Which version of the 70-200? After all there are 4 versions being produced atm, and a few more older ones... I loved my old f/4 for what it was. If this is your first experience with "L" glass you are in for a treat/in trouble...lol It gets addicting.
