Why not send Killboy & us129photos.com an e-mail with your request. I'm sure they could help you out. I have bought a few pictures from each & they are fine lensmen.![]()

There are several companies that station themselves on and around the Dragon.
Here's me last fall...

Yeah, I have a few from Killboy in my '06. I would really like something professionally lit, no driver, that kind of shot. I also have a some from DEs that I love.

In 2007 a Vic Wolf contacted me. He comes to car shows with a RV. He places a green screen on RV and then takes a picture of your car infront, then super imposes any background you want. A sunset, mountains, etc. It looked really cool. He was all set to come then had some medical emergency with his daughter and had to cancel. Never have been able to get ahold of him since. I think something like that would be awesome and very popular.

Yeah, snooter, that's what I was thinking. Like those old Olan Mills set ups, but for your MINI!

every year I do search for such a vendor, but never have been able to find one

I have a professional camera with some good lenses and I know a lot of other MINIacs have great cameras. Maybe we could try to set up a photo session somewhere. There's no shortage of nice views. I've found MINIs shoot best from a low angle. Playing with different lenses can give different looks.
I'll be wandering around with my camera and am willing to take a stab at shooting any MINIs that want me to.

MOTD seems to be a well documented event. Lots of cameras & lenses about. I too will be shooting a lot.

I actually rented a 70 - 200mm lens just for the trip!

If it is the Nikon 70-200 f2.8 vr you'll love how tack sharp it is. Only drawback is it gets heavy after a while.

I'm sure that Canon lens is a tack sharp one too.

Which version of the 70-200? After all there are 4 versions being produced atm, and a few more older ones... I loved my old f/4 for what it was. If this is your first experience with "L" glass you are in for a treat/in trouble...lol It gets addicting.
