Not sure if this should be in OT. If you had a 5-car garage, what would you put in it and why? Here's mine: R53 S (check! - track/weekend warrior) R53 GP (garage queen/MINI run rebel) E46 ZHP (check! - fun daily driver) E46 M3 (split track time with my R53) E30 M3 (garage queen) R55 Clubman with the new/updated interior if/when it ever comes out (stuff-hauler) That's six, but the Clubman can stay outside, or I could rent one of those PODS to use as an extra bay . Oh, all of those cars are either Chili, Imola, or Henna red, of course. Currently I have a 0-car garage, so this is all whimsical dreaming. How about everyone else? - Marc
1. R52 cause he is paid for. 2. R53 JCW cause she is about to be paid for. 3. GT2 for the wife 4. M5 for myself to go to the market with. 5. 430 Scuderia cause I figure if I can afford the 5 car garage I can afford this. Alternate: GT3 RS - NA engine FTW.
Hmm if it was a dream garage? Something like: Porsche - GT3 current gen, maybe a 993 TT too Something capable of off-roading or towing or both. Larger Ford 4x4 diesel??? an Audi RS4 wagon Lotus Evora
My wife's MINI, My Jetta, my Scirocco would get to move inside, and then like most people I'd have two bays full of crap
5 is not enough F50 Veyron Lamborghini Reventon Pagani Zonda Roadster F Koenigsegg CCXR - THE ULTIMATE EDITION
Ye, the original would make a great daily driver. I just saw one a few days ago and was marveling how much smaller it is then the current 3 series. But I am talking about the latest one. 500 horses cannot be ignored.
5 is nowhere near enough but... Maserati GranTurismo S - Daily Driver - The lines of this car are so sexy Ford F250 Diesel - To pull the enclosed trailer that contains the track car 911 GT3 - Track Beast RR Drophead Coupe - Nights on the town M5 Touring - For those trips to Home Depot and the tire shop This garage would also have 2000sq ft living space/loft.
Agreed - the E39 (1995-2004) was the perfect size for such a car. The E34 M5 wasn't bad (87-95), and the E28 is the perfect sleeper (81-87). Don't get me started on the ginormous E90! Ugh, it's a boat. I was talking with a father and son who had their newest M5 out on the track last weekend, and while they were wowed by the power, they were also terrified of trying to stop a + 4000 lb car going +-150 at the end of a straight. After being harassed by a few MINIs and E30s, you know what the father did the next day? Brought out his Audi R8 . - Marc
- Bugatti Veyron - Ferrari FXX - Aston Martin V12 Vantage - need a car for the wife - Range Rover Sport Supercharged V8 - need a family car - Mini JCW GP (with my mods) - my Daily Driver
5 lifts (now it's a 10 car garage). R53 91 Jeep Comanche 01 Dodge Ram 4X4 Cummins 08 Lotus Elise SC Porsche 997 GT3 RS Volvo V70R (for daily chores) Austin Healey 3000 '67 Cooper S 63 Ford F100 unibody 04 SVT Cobra And of course some other random stuff will be in and out of the driveway.
That's like using one of your three wishes to ask for more wishes. =) R53 for sunny days and club drives Porsche GT3 RS in orange Mitsubishi EVO X in black for rainy days E36 M3 daily beater Avus Blue 135i for road trips Alpine White
Oooh, this is a tuffy. 1. Maybe a replica, but boosted for sure. 2. Keep the GP pretty stock, and it would have to be a low mileage car. 3. Yellow Daytona. 4. Yeah, the last interceptor is a little out there, but I love that movie and the Falcon XB. 5. I always loved the Chaparral 2f. I would need to make it street legal, though.
This is a tough call. Only 5? :incazzato::lol: 1.) My '02 Cooper S [yes I'd keep it] 2.) My '05 Lotus Elise Katana [keep this too] 3.) '10 Porsche Cayman S 6mt w/PASM 4.) '06 Evo IX MR SE in Wicked White 5.) '63 Lincoln Continential hardtop in black This list is prone to editing. I still want a Mazdaspeed Miata and S2000, but what's the point when I have my Elise? I would love to have an Audi R8 Le Mans racer, but honestly, where would I use it?! Classics like the Lotus Elan, BMW //M3 E30, and VW GTI [mk1] are amazing but I'm not willing to give up any in the list to have them. Don't blame me for loving the Continential, it's an unnatural lust for that one old barge, I can't explain it! Of course there are supercars that would be fun, like the Koenigsegg CCX-R Edition and Ferrari 599 GTB, and classic supercars like the Lamborghini Miura SV and Ferrari F40, but for goodness sakes, if I can afford those, then the base 5 list is a given, LOL!
Ya know this one has always had a soft spot for me too :cornut: I'm gonna have to put some thought to this 'top 5'. Great question!
Ahh the Lincoln.... As a teen we had a 78 Town Car, the last of the monster boats. Silver with a burgundy crushed velor interior. I was often able to use it for dates. The power seats when moved fully forward would allow the seatbacks to fold down flat against the rear seat make for one large submarine hunting platform. It was also one of the 3 I damaged in my week of breaking 3 cars. Sheared the driveshaft doing neutral drops. 5 is really to few...If only allowed 5 I'd have to have a few rolling postions where various cars/trucks would rotate in and out of the collection. Moving to my early 20's... A local corner shop that fixed all the local exotics somehow got the funding to move from a 2 bay shop to a big new gleaming glass 3 story type dealership. The line was Lamborghini, Lotus and Bitter. One day coming around a corner was right behind a LM 002. Always been a dream of mine to have one of those... And a slope nose (factory) 911/930 And many of the variants of that car, the dp, the Ruf
