I've been pulling for Trump the whole time if for nothing else he is/was one of the few candidates that is not a career politician. He is running because he thinks he can make a difference, not that it is the next step in his political career. Does he say all the right things NO. Will he be a good president who knows, but the one thing I hope he does if he gets in is run the country like a business. I and most the people I talk politics with are really more scared of having Hillary in office then Trump. Trump wasn't their first choice but he is now the one against Hillary.

I've been voting for a long time. It seems I've always voted 'for' someone and not 'against' someone. I don't like either candidate but fortunately one less than the other. My wife says she's moving to Canada if Donald wins. I told her Canada is too expensive. I'll be moving to Mexico.

I think the idea of a business man running the country is the same as a politician. Business men like him are just as crooked as politicians and they work closely together, always have, they give money to politicians to get favors and F the people. He don't think he can make a difference, this presidential run is for his ego which is bigger than Alaska. They both have special interests, in trumps case he won't make any decisions himself and if I had to choose a business man to run the country he wouldn't be in my top 10 simply because he's a shady person who didn't necessarily start a business, he was given money and bought a business(es)(some failed, some successful). He'll have advisors telling him which shots to call which will be more of the same bs that we're used too. To me him and hitlary are the same. Neither really give a ****, it's all lip service. I'll either be voting 3rd party or not voting at all. The electoral collage will take care of that for us, like they have for longer than they should have already.

I would have to agree with the opening comment about people voting for the least "worse case scenario". I have heard a lot of people making that very statement, and most said they would be going with Trump. Trump has been forced upon us by the Republican party because the career politicians in that very party couldn't convince the people they work for that they cared about this country. Now those same people want him to step down because of statements he made in 2005, what is this kindergarten? I don't hear the Democrats suggesting Clinton step down even though she should really be in jail. Anybody in the military will tell you that if they had classified material in their personal possession they would be sitting in Leavenworth right know on trial for treason as a spy. I can not in all good conscious vote for what most (and I am one of them) would consider a traitor to this country and to those that serve it.
Remember when hubby had a little fling with ole Monica, anybody in the military would have been brought up on charges and depending on their rank, either in the brig or relieved. http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Four-star-Army-general-relieved-of-command-over-2648883.php This happened when ole Bill was in office getting it on with Monica. Ask the General why he didn't get away with it like Bill did.
Clinton is a career politician that has learned the ropes from her significant other, has followed the current clown in charge and if elected will continue to follow in that clown's footsteps. Is Trump the answer, probably not but voting for an independent is going to take votes away from him and put a Clinton in the cat bird seat. I'll take Trump and all his rude and over zealous comments, hoping that his VP and advisors keep him in line before I'd vote for that traitor. Honestly I think they both should step down and let the VP candidates run for office. -
I'm with Her. Not because I truly endorse her, but because I don't see anything presidential about Trump. The thought of him treating negotiations with other countries (friend or foe) like a board room meeting from the Apprentice scares me. While the email issue is concerning given the real threat of hackers these days, I also don't consider it a deal breaker. There is a level of shadiness that I feel happens with all presidents and only becomes an issue when the media or opposing party finds out about it.
I will say that I'm ready for it all to be over. I may not agree with what party you are part of, who you vote for, or the rationalization of why you vote for who you do, but I respect that you vote. Some of the interactions I have seen between friends/family online is horrible. What I really hope for is that this election serves as a wake up call to all Americans to demand better from their parties and themselves in allowing these 2 to be our choices. -

I've been a Trump fan for decades so when he said he was running I was and am 100% behind him. So is my wife. Has he said some not so great things? Sure, but who hasn't? It's like "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone"
I've run into a number of people that say Trump scares them and I ask them why. I still haven't gotten a real answer. Only that his words may start a war. Really? I don't think the leaders in China and Russia are like the snowflakes in our colleges. So why does he scare you?
I can say why Hilary scares me.
- She plans on more taxes for everyone working and not really giving it those that don't. It will go to "friends of Hilary" organizations just lie she has with everything else she has been involved in.
- Health care will be socialized and the quality will drop.
- She will install people in the Supreme Court to help her rewrite the Constitution (bye bye 2nd amendment and a few others). No congress won't stop her just like they haven't done anything in the last 8 years.
- She will cause more big companies to move out of the US because of taxes, regulations, and costs.
- She will open the flood gates on the borders to change the population mix and increase the number of people dependent on the government (I'm not anti immigration, my dad came here in '56)
- She will take the governance of the US to a global position where the UN will issue laws to the people of this country.
There's more. This isn't my speculation. These are things she has stated she will do. Okay she didn't say "friends of Hilary" but she has done that all along.
Trump is in it for his ego. Yes. So what. You don't think Hilary is? If he can turn the country around and get us back to prosperity, get people working, bring companies back to the US, take care of our vet, and improve our position in the world he can crow about it all he wants. We all will be better off than we are now. -
Make sure you get out there on the 28th and vote!

I have this shirt.
-
* The sheer unstability of his personality
* The hate culture that he continued to fan the flames on
* His lack of wiliness to talk to his policies, which really makes me question his motives for running for office
What I do hope for if he would win, is that the Dems get some control back in Congress (even though I'm not convinced that the Republicans will help get things through for him).
I see dark times ahead regardless of who is elected, which may not be completely bad. The current form of government has been leading us down the drain for a couple of decades, so a shake up by the people may not be a bad thing. -

Here are my 3 Main topics/ideas that none of the politicians ever talk about.
1- We need every "working person" paying his share of taxes. At this point I don't care how you got here I need your tax dollars.
2- Do away with all "write offs" / deductions across the board for everyone. No one writes off home loan interest, business equipment, business trips, etc.
3- Since No. 2 isn't going to happen how about this. No deductions for having kids. Why should the guy with 2 kids pay less taxes then his neighbor making the exact same money but has no kids. Most likely those kids will go thru the public school system so if anything he should be paying more taxes, which in turn might deter people from having so many kids which would help us all down the road, by not having as many people on the system, and fighting for the same jobs etc.. -
I vote republican almost 100% of the time, but I won't vote for Trump. A campaign based on people's hate, fears, and prejudices isn't a step forward. He is strong on one issue, and one issue only: the economy. When he talks about anything other than that, he spews nonsense.
I can't vote for Hillary. She's corrupt, and entitled. Had the Republican's put up a fiscal conservative with a hint of moderate social policy, they win in a landslide. Instead, they put up a candidate who really isn't a republican, and the landslide is going the other way. Incredible.
I'll vote third party this time.
But the best case scenario IMHO, is Hillary wins, and the Republicans maintain control of the Senate. This may not happen; the democrats may sweep both, as the Republican party has already gone into damage control mode--Trump is a lost cause, the focus now is maintaining seats at the national, state and local level. The question is no longer will there be damage, but how bad will that damage be.
But if we get democratic president, and a republican senate, we can tread water for four years and maybe get it right next time. With one big caveat: The republican party is in serious risk of marginalizing itself, unless it becomes socially more liberal. The party is top heavy from an age standpoint, and that is only going to get worse if there aren't changes. If the republican party can't send a message that attracts young voters, woman voters, and minorities, it's doomed. This election is the last gasp of what used to be the majority in the republican party; it hasn't been pretty, and if it doesn't change, the party doesn't stand a chance in the long run. -
The us government turns at about the same rate as a supertanker...it takes years...
For the last 8 years we have been hoping towards socialism...keep going there, that's what we are going to get...
So vite for Trump, and turn the ship towards capitalism a bit...and as far as him being "unstable", he has to get everything through Congress's vote...as a bussiness man, he states an outrageous position, then negotiates to a middle....if you start in the middle, you give up more.... -

I thought we had been treading water for 8 years already. I'm tired and ready for a major change if even if isn't all that great at this point... 4 more years of treading water may turn into 8 again!!

True that, but the path we are on is not a good one to follow. Might get alittle poison oak but hopefully it will clear up in a little while by starting a new path..

I'm concerned with the amount of religious influence I'm seeing in our government - there is supposed to be complete separation of church and state.
This and the war on women and women's rights make it so I cannot in good conscience vote for any republicrat.
They are all a bunch of crooks and liars and I see no hope for the future being any better.
Bad choices are the same as no choice in my view.
