Two arguments I find amusing:
Trump is a great businessman, so he'd be a great president.
Flip side: The Clinton's were broke leaving the White House, and now are worth Bazillions. Maybe they know more about business than Donald.
Trump didn't pay taxes, making him either a scoundrel, or a brilliant, depending on your viewpoint.
Clinton's: see the Clinton foundation, and how that has generated tax free revenue. They did pay personal taxes, granted, but they have one hell of a shelter there...
I don't buy the unstable leader as a way to shake things up argument. Look at the history of unstable leaders--Hitler, Napoleon, Mussolini, Gaddafi, Amin, etc. I can't find an example of one that worked out well long term for their respective country, nor the countries around them.
Like I said earlier, Hillary is going to win, probably a landslide in the electoral college, my hope is for republican control of the senate, otherwise long term we're in worse shape than we are now.
No matter who wins, it's going to an interesting 4 years to see if the next president can unseat Warren G Harding as the worst president ever. It's going to be close...

You have to give Gaddafi some credit, after we bombed Libya he did have an about face and was much more cognizant of Libya's domestic issues.
Mussolini did make the trains run on time.
Napoleon inspired the Russians to name a really good dessert item after him.
Can't find anything redeeming about Amin, or Marcos. -
Marcos's wife single handedly kept the shoe industry viable for years, there's that.
Really can't think of anything good on Amin either. Just read "90 minutes at Entebbe" (A good read), thinking maybe something redeeming would come out about Amin, but alas, no.... -
The Shah of Iran did have one heck of a car collection too.

This is how you fix our Government for Starters.
Putting in Term Limits for Congress and Banning All Lobbyist and PAC's and Supper PACs from being able to make any financial contributions of any kind. Also Ban all Contributions from any Foundation or Org.
This would do more that any new President.
Also take away all Health Benefits from Congress and put them on Obama Care if they think it so great. -

I could never figure out how Jim Jones got all those people to drink the kool aid. After watching Donald's rebuttal this morning I now understand.

Google searches for 'write-in' are off the charts

The irony is the lifetime appointment is supposed to make the justices unbiased and untouchable, and take politics out of the court. It obviously doesn't, and no one has the cahaones to fix it. -

IF Hilary gets in I hope she falls back to the Clinton model and not what she has been promising to do. The "New world order" types don't like the Clinton's and vise-a versa so her playing their game doesn't gain anything for her. She's been out for number one all her life so it would make more sense she'd keep going that way. If she can win despite all the facts coming out about her she wouldn't have to worry about reelection. The Clinton mafia would be better for the country then the progressives. Just don't piss her off or you'll be in a body bag like the 40 odd others. People said bill was Teflon. Hilary is a whole other kind of none stick.

I agree that this has been a very civil conversation (good thing we aren't debating R53 vs. R56 vs. F56). What are your thoughts on what happens when the candidate you vote for doesn't win. One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to politics is the statement "X isn't my president, I didn't vote for them". My thought is that at the end of the day, whoever is elected is my president. While I didn't vote for George W and didn't agree with his post 9/11 actions in regards to Iraq, I still looked at him as the leader of our nation.
