SE Ohio, huh? Isn't that where Ted Strictland is from? You gotta know Ted...he's the former Gov. and big Hilliary supporter who lost all those Ohio jobs before being ousted by Kasich. I don't think SE Ohio is normally a Republican stronghold, but given the last 8 years, even THEY have seen the light!

There is a difference between voting for the local boy for Governor and voting for the next president. Here is an interesting website that shows how the counties voted in the past presidential elections. Looks like you need to go back 20 years to find an election where the SE counties didn't favor the Republican candidate.

Not sure what that has to do with anything, since she ultimately ended up not being the Dem candidate in that election.

We have two neighbors going at it with Hillary/Trump signs. It was getting out of hand, so I think they agreed to an identical number of signs; it was becoming similar to a nuclear arms race, and just as devastating to their respective lawns. It's quieted down so much I'm thinking of flipping a coin and stealing one sign, just to upset the balance and keep the entertainment going.

I voted yesterday also, The ballots came in the mail late last week. I spent the better part of the afternoon researching a bunch of local candidates who I haven't heard of.

Whew, I'm glad that's over for now!

My city/county is about 90-percent Republican, and I haven't seen a single Trump sign anywhere I go. Four years ago I saw Romney signs everywhere.

Besides being Republican, the demographics here are also college educated and white-collar. That was much more Romney's demographics than Trump's.

There are a couple of houses with Trump signs in my area, but no other houses have signs of any kind.

I could have bet my entire bank account that ^^^^ post would be here -- and won.

The FBI is investigating Anthony Weiner. Director Comey only informed congress that some emails of Hillary Clinton's are part of the investigation. The FBI has NOT re-opened the investigation of Clinton's emails.

So, I thought everything was "rigged" for clinton. Director Comey sure isn't doing Hillary any favors notifying eight Republican congressmen of this 11 days from the election.

It also appears that all of the MS media is covering it.

    Not a very good conspiracy.

No, they haven't. They are looking at these emails for an investigation of Anthony Weiner, the man who can't stop shooting himself in the foot.

Wow, Dave, it is amazing how you suddenly trust the MSM. Basically, the MSM is a "liberal conspiracy," until they cover a Clinton story, at which point, you seem to have complete and total trust in the MSM.

It still comes down to a choice between a mediocre, status quo President, or a con-artist who might want to start a war with Germany because Angela Merkel says he has small hands.

Dave you can't re-open something that was never closed. As far as the spelling of hilLAIRy: I'll bet you the price of a decent steak dinner that Donald never files suit against the 11 women who have come forward 'so far'.

It's not entirely clear what is going on, but it APPEARS this relates to classified material rather than Weiner's weiner, and we can argue semantics all day, wether you want to call it a review of the probe, or reopening, but the end result is the same; it APPEARS to be a reopening of the email investigation, which was effectively closed (although not officially closed) by the FBI in July when no indictment was returned. It wasn't still actively ongoing, this latest development occurred entirely by accident.

It's not definite what is going on, as the classified emails were apparently on Weiner's computer (it's not his emails but his soon to be ex-wife's, who apparently borrowed it at times, probably to shoot her own selfies) and Clinton's server. The question obviously is where they came from, and how they're tied to Clinton--which obviously reopens the classified emails/ unsecured server issues if true.

The findings won't be out until after the election.

IMHO she has more to worry about long term with the Clinton foundation.

Any other candidate absolutely buries her with both of these issues. But lucky for her, she's not running against any other candidate. It does give Trump a sliver of hope, but he needs a bombshell in the next ten days to turn the tide; it's his only chance. Unlikely, but not impossible; it's the only scenerio that gets him the win. After she's elected, I'm guessing it's going to be one investigation after another into her and Bill.

I'm just waiting for a few of Jared Fogle's emails to turn up on Clinton's server, and Weiner's phone.

The House is going to remain Republican, and has already vowed, if Clinton is elected, to spend 100-percent of it's time and effort investigating her, instead of doing the business of enacting legislation that will actually dealing with the problems we need to deal with. I knew that was coming when she got the nomination. It was like predicting the sun will rise in the morning.

I don't understand people who live by ideologies. I voted for Reagan, and voted for Obama. I base my decisions on the information I have in front of me, and a lot of thought -- not on some ideology that some party, religion or personality say I "should" do. I am the exact opposite of a "sheep."

I started this thread because I think we deserve better than the two choices we are faced with. Since I didn't like either candidate, it became a simple "risk analysis" decision for me. Yeah, I voted for Clinton, but only because I decided, ON MY OWN, that a President Trump was just to risky.

Following the election (and to some degree this thread) I can't help thinking that Trump's core supporters are like a "cult" that see him as some kind of "American Messiah." Some supporters are even talking about a "revolution" if he doesn't win.

But, then again, I think America is already pretty great. It needs some repairs and updates, but we can do that without tearing the whole f-ing house down.

It's not definite that republicans will win the House, but probable. And yes, they will go after her if the have a majority, and with good reason. They've used the non-profit, tax exempt Clinton foundation as a source of personal income and influence. I don't blame the republicans for going after her, I blame her and Bill for using their stature running the foundation unethically and illegally. I'd fault the republicans, or anyone else for that matter, for turning a blind eye. What they did was corrupt, not to mention hypocritical and disgusting beyond belief. It's a pattern of behavior that goes back prior to the presidency, all the way to Arkansas.

The emails, however, are looking more and more like a non factor this morning, although the polls no one believes in has tightened. As more information comes out, my guess is everyone is going to relax on this; the timing of it may have more of an effect than the actual emails themselves.

Not sure why you shouted out I started this thread; once a thread gets going, it can go in any direction, get hijacked, etc. no one really owns it, it's everyone's, and everyone is entitled to post in it, including people you don't necessarily agree with. It's how we roll.
