Ya know, in our little aside covering the despots of the planet we forgot to include Nicolae Ceaușescu. Now that was a real piece of work.

I know what you mean. I didn't vote for Bill Clinton, either time, but gave him a fair shot, and in hindsight, I think he did do a good job. Hey, we ended his term with a budget surplus (an important issue for me).

I also didn't vote for GW Bush, either, but I got on with my life, and the country survived.

I read an article today about Trump and this week's SNL cold open, and it inspired me to consider a new signature on MA, but I thought better of it. But, I gotta share it, and this is Politics and Messy Stuff.

If your feelings get hurt by sketch comedy on SNL, get off the campaign and grow up you big baby.

Remember, never lose your sense of humor. :biggrin5:

If you haven't seen it, here is a link. I laughed, and not just the trump parts, I laughed at the Hillary digs, too.

I loved the beginning where Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz did a shot before the debate. It pretty well sums up my OP. I watched the second debate under the influence of alcohol -- it was the only way I could watch it.

There's been a lot of ranting by the Donald and his clan to 'lock her up'. It might be a stretch but doing a 180 I wonder about locking him up. A lot of comments I hear are that he is undermining the American voting system which would be the same as undermining the American political system which in turn could be considered treason. I think the Dems should start pushing for Donald to get locked up. As I said it would be a stretch but thinking about the possibilities makes me smile.

    Talk does not equal treason.

Now deleting 30,000 e-mails on a private server that contained classified information after the Federal Government sent a subpoena that's treason.

Also let's not forget these great men that should be able to vote but can't because of Hillary.

And what did she say about the cause of their death? "What does it matter now" Yes she would make a splendid leader.

Her answer was in response to a question having something to do with whether the attack had been planned or if the attack was something that happened spontaneously. Her response was "What difference at this point does it make". The remark had nothing to do with their cause of death. Don't make something out of it that isn't there.

I would respectively differ. The greater conversation was that they knew it was not a protest but a deliberate attack. Something they were trying to cover up. But she did continue to say what matters is making sure it did not happen agin, this is a lie she did not care or she would have not been lying in the first place. But the point is she knew when it was happening that it was not a protest and that they (her and the State department) knew what was happening when it was happening but did nothing. She was trying to deflect blame "What difference at this point does it make". Well the difference is she knew they needed help did nothing and then lied. That is an affront to the men that protected the embassy and those that died.

I am sorry I did not mean to miss quote her.
