One of the attractions of my apartment is the no pets policy. I play with other peoples pets.

Went for a real nice walk today.

My longest continuous walk yet. Stopped at the hipster juice bar on the way home. Had a very nice pear and ginger juice.

The seals are good and tight Don.

More late night kitchen adventures. Made Cherry Chipotle Salsa and pickled a batch of radishes.

Looking forward to this weeks farmers market too, the blueberry girl will be back. I foresee a batch of spicy pickled blueberries. Local folks have asked me to make a blueberry pie too, so I'll do that for them. I don't want a pie here in the house.

Obtaining all my foods from the farmers market and other small producers that I know has helped me a lot. I feel great, the quality of the foodstuffs has to do with that. About 2 weeks ago I ate some junk food. Felt like carp for a day or so. Only took me 40 some years to figure out that if I eat junk a lot I feel like carp a lot.

Saw a Vascular doc today for my legs. I didn't know I had all the issues with my legs that I do. My Cardiologist wanted me to go, so I did. Have an ultrasound later in the week to learn more. He kept saying we can fix all this, your legs will be better. Heck, I didn't know I had so much wrong.

The two a day visits to OSU Medical facilities continue. Thank you Les Wexner for giving OSU 100 million bucks, I've been making good use of it. Almost want to go shop at The Limited to pay my respects.

Stevie Wonder is a funny dude. I saw him get off his tour bus when I was an undergrad at University of Illinois, tripped on the last step and fell to the ground. Everyone was mortified, but he popped up, and must of sensed the crowd, and matter of factly shouted out, "Hey everybody--watch that last step!!!", cracking everyone up...

There is a video of him during the making of the "We are the World" video, where he's making up lines, and sings out something along the line of

"you all better not get too drunk today"

" 'cause if you do you'll have to drive home with me and Ray"

    (Ray Charles).

    Now THAT'S a thread hijack.

You have got to get your meds under control. Don't stop taking them, just find someone who can get you on the right doses and the right meds, these are doing more harm than good.

I went thru this with one of my employees quite a few years ago, they had to use the jumper cables on her three times in one session, after that she could hardly function as a human being - this went on for almost 6 months till one day she passed out at work from low blood pressure - so she finally went to another doctor who changed her meds considerably, she came right around after that and is still with us and doing fine.

I hate sounding like a broken record, but it's the meds that are causing this, I'll bet you a BIG coke.

After my last session with my new heart doc, he agreed to get me off of the statins.....since then even tho it's only been a month, already I feel so much better - I also have lost my "dark" outlook on life......

Hope you can get a sympathetic ear that wont try to fix you with pills.......

I for one blame you....you keep posting up pics of the low hanging fruit (and veggies) and methods to alter them (in jam form, baked, or pickled) prior to tossing. :biggrin5:

I commend you for putting your journey out here for all to read! Not everyone would be/is as willing to open up in such a public forum. I like your approach to setting goals, keep it fun.

My god Nate....You are transmogrifying into Dave. It's VERY common after open heart surgery, especially if the vein harvesting site gets infected and you do yoga, to morph into the person who posts the most on your favorite internet site. Please go to the ER ASAP; if Dave starts spreading worldwide, it'll make Ebola look like a common cold.

    Oh god not Dave...

Only wagged a finger at the yellow light runner...

Helped the guy running for the bus by waving the bus down, Dave would have laughed at poor guy that missed his bus.

    I need a walk...

Yeah, it's only because you don't have a full blown case of the Daves--yet. By tomorrow, while driving, you'll be splashing nuns standing too close to puddles with reckless abandon, stealing stuff from people in wheelchairs, and flatulizing in elevators and blaming it on the person standing next to you. This is going to get ugly...
