By Nathan being home now seems to have invigorated him.... If people want to stop by for a visit, he's fine with that... He is planning to get out and about in the Short North for short walks to boost his stamina.... And basically enjoy life.... Stop by if you have the urge.... I'm sure he would appreciate it... :D

Went on two outings and a walk today so far. Was given 1 hour on the PC for work too.

    I'm tired now...

It's nice out so another walk after dinner is in the cards.

Thanks for all the cards, emails, texts and calls of support. It really does help to keep spirits up. I sure do appreciate it. If you are in the neighborhood please feel free to stop in and say hello too. I like visitors.

Baby steps, then toddler steps. You're progressing exactly like a good friend of mine who had the same procedure. (Although he wasn't tougher than a rib spreader.) I drove him around, was a walking partner, etc. The naps will get less frequent, the walks will get longer and faster and the pain will decrease a little more each day.

Hang in there man! Looks like you're doing GREAT!

All I know is that I will NOT be lighting up any cigars at MOTD when Nate is strolling by! They say that second hand smoke kills, but what about those "natural" exhaust fumes? Talk about lethal....

Recovery from major surgery isn't a linear improvement as you're finding out; it's peaks and valleys, with the overall trend being gradual improvement. Take the bad days with a grain of salt (ok, maybe with a grain of salt substitute), back off a little, like you're doing, then get back at it. Overall, looks like you're doing great; don't let the slow days get you down, it's all part of the process.

    My tip of the day...

When recovering from coronary bypass surgery don't sneeze for it will hurt deeply and for a long time.

So much for trying not to take narcotics today.

Allegra will make it so he can't pee. The narcotics will make is so he doesn't have pain when he can't pee.

It was great to get out and really great to not have to eat my own cooking too. Thanks for making the trek over. We'll have to do that again.

You are in the right place Nathan. Most likely brake dust. Bet they wash it with with some Sonax & spray it with Hydo & send you home to mend.

Taking Nathan to Tommy's for breakfast in the morning.... I think he's really showing signs of having withdrawal symptoms.... Tommy's should perk him up.... Then a planned trip to see if we can get nurse Taylor to have a look at his dressing.... That should really get Nathan percolating...
