Saw my cardiologist today.
He's thrilled with my progress, called me the poster boy for how to turn it all around.
No med changes, I was hoping to reduce or get off some. Was told that if can drop another 20 lbs by next visit in 6 months then we'll make adjustments.
That's gonna be easy. Heh.

Woohoo. The seatbelt on the plane fits! That's been years since that happened.

MINIs on the Dragon was very good for my mental state. One doesn't see changes in oneself to well. Validation by multiple sources is rather helpful.
Now tanned, somewhat rested and ready to get into the swing of things.-

Hello Elvis. Nice pose!
Yesterday was good, I bit off a little to much again. Probably should not of gone for that 10 pm people watching walk. But it was also Gallery Hop in the neighborhood. I should of taken a camera. I saw Pokeman Zombies, honest, it was not the Vicodin.
Today I'll be relaxing. A huge thanks to Pam and Hanna for coming over and helping with the shipping and domestic stuff. It's so very helpful.-

Tell me about it. I used to love to fly, now I can't stand it anymore. Flight delays (1.5 and 2 hours) in both directions, the airlines cram the planes to capacity so there's never any room to spread out, and there's always someone who feels the need to tell everyone within thirty feet their entire life story. Loudly.
Funny thing happened last time I flew. Plane is announced as full, and some old crotchety guy, like one of the dudes from Grumpy old men, but not nearly as funny, is in my seat. So gently explain to him he's in my seat, show him my ticket, and he blows a gasket, and gets pretty nasty. "I'm not getting up, I'm settled in, blah, blah blah." The stewardess comes over, and was going to get him to move, and I tell her it's all good, just find out where he was supposed to sit, I'll move there. And I do.
Then, 30 seconds later, in the two seats next to him, sit a mother and her 3 month old screaming infant, which with the new seating arrangements, was a sonically comfortable 12 rows or so away from me now...
He turns around demanding his original seat, and I just smiled and said "No thanks, I'm good"... Stewardess was laughing so hard I thought she might break something. Kid screamed the entire flight, without me needing to come over and pinch him, which I would've the second he dropped below 100 decibels. God bless him.
I love poetic justice.-

Instead of an MA MINI calendar next year, how about a "Nate's Nurses of Ohio State" calendar, with a brief description of each nurse, something like this:
"Meet Nurse January, skilled in the ancient Mesopotamian art of the sponge bath. Her vast array of sponges, in a variety of curious shapes, sizes, and coefficients of kinetic friction guarantee no nook or cranny goes unnoticed, resulting in a thoroughly pleasurable hygienic experience for all."
I bet it would sell more.-

Just talked with Nathan's brother Saul.... They just wheeled Nathan into the operating room at 7:30am, 5 minutes ago.... If everything goes by plan, they should be wheeling the "Big Guy" out at around 1:30pm....
I'll keep you posted....-

Change of pace this week. Was stuck for like 3 weeks at the same weight. Finally started dropping again. Added a new class, Back to Basics - A 1 hour class designed to focus on the basics of strength, balance, and flexibility using a variety of fitness equipment.
Basically the personal trainer that has been working with me all along now spends an hour with a few of us at once and inflicts pain. Like 3 sets of 25 Calf Raises. If you look like it is too easy a hand on your shoulder will help make it just a bit more difficult.
Saw the hand doc about my carpel tunnel issues today. Get sliced next week! Did not expect to get into surgery so fast. Better start working on getting that left hand doing things for a bit.
So much for doing chin ups for a few weeks...I'm not quite to the point where I could do them anyway, much less do them with one hand.
Mentally things are getting much better. Wow, thanks modern big pharma, this stuff actually helps. Now to ween off it and not go back to being a blathering idiot...-

Not used to thinking of Taxi's, car services or Car2Go.
I got it worked out. Needed to vent before.
Thanks for kicking me too, needed that as well.
Lunch date went well. Even if she does drive a Camry.-

These past few weeks have been rough. The gloomy weather we've had here in Columbus did little to enhance my mood, coupled with percocet, it was a bit of downer.
Stopped the percocet about a week ago. Been back in the gym, lost a fair bit of ground in ability and endurance. It will come back.
Missed my goal of a 75 pound loss since the Heart Attack by 0.2 pounds. I'm calling it a win.
Heres to a 2015 filled with clear roads, good friends and good health.-

Stopped by to see the "Big Guy" this morning....
Nate's in good spirits, and what's important, he's listening to all the experts running around in the long lab coats.... Background checks on the crew seem to be they are all top notch "Gold Standard" doctors.... So he's in good hands...
Sooooo.... This would be "I Heart Nate"....

Nathan was telling me about the entire hierarchy that exists in the hospital, which I didn't know about.... It all has to do with coat length.
The interns have the shortest jackets.... The surgeons have the longest coats.... Everyone else's coat length is somewhere in between....
When they descend on your room.... Listen to the person with the longest coat....
Unless of course the longest coat happens to be pushing a mop.... The mop is the key in that example....
Ummmmm.... Junior Mint????
