All you need to get off FB is a high-school classmate with a 40-year grudge. That's how I got off of FB. That D-Bag got me "temporarily" banned, and I told the FB Nazis who wanted me to justify my FB "privileges" to kiss my a$$. That freed up a whole lot of time in my average day, and I don't have to say "no" to friend requests from people I never liked. Seriously, you stole the stereo out of my car in 1979, and now you want to be FB friends? (true story)

Internet friendships, whether on social media or a MINI forum, are mostly not real friendships. I can count the real friendships I've made online on one hand, and still use that hand to drive my car.

Like the saying goes, "a Friend will help you move... a REAL friend will help you move a body."

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with that statement.....I've made a number of friends via the internet - real friends...people I meet up out of town with, people I meet up for classic Mini drives, people I just talk to on a regular basis....all from the net.

I know people from all over the world because of the net.

However, I don't spend my life on FB or any other forum, I use them to my advantage, but they don't run my life like some people. I don't post my lunch or dinner on FB, I don't "check in" every place I go and so on....I do use it to keep track of my friends and family members, and for a quick hi to them....I think it's great when you use it to benefit you - not FB.

 

I friend will come bail you out of jail, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying damn that was FUN!!!

 

Is FB trying to create Zombies on a massive scale?

 

They are just testing a way to do censorship.

 

Man.... Sounds like FB doesn't just ban you... They go straight to death...
