Things seem to be progressing well. 3 Days and no Vicodin!
Shoulder pain is gone, hole in leg is getting small, no longer can fit a golf ball in there. Still some chest pain from the incision. It is becoming manageable for the most part. A cough, sneeze or laugh hurts a good bit. Got to stop watching the Daily Show. I fade in the afternoon, the time is getting later.
All is not peaches and cream, still have trouble concentrating. I tried to work on some code the other day. Heh, that went horribly.
I know I owe some of you Swag and stuff you ordered. I'll be working on that real soon.
Thanks all for the support, rides, texts, cards and offers of help.-

The first annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 100 yard dash, featuring Robin Zander versus Slash in a cross-dressing sprint to the cup championship.
Shout out to the fan there to the right of slash, the girl there with the Big Gulp, who apparently has her head on backwards.-

And I'll bet you a case of coke it's not "just the meds". I'll settle for multi-factorial, the meds may be a part of it. Not everyone has trouble with statins BTW, and most of those that do have muscle aches rather than depression. I wouldn't hang my hat on that as the catch all end all. And since the majority of present day thinking includes the premise that a significant portion of mental health issues are do to either temporary or permanenent chemical imbalances, preaching avoidance of potentially helpful psychotropic drug is perhaps the worst piece of advice one can give. I'm fine with homeopathic remedies, they have their place, but I've also seen disasters from people NOT taking medication or trying an alternative cure. Balance--counseling and medication together--generally has the highest success rate.
Nate, I couldn't agree with you more--mental health care is a disaster in this country--not so much the quality, but the accessibility. And that's disgraceful--taking a group of people who generally have the hardest time asking for help in the first place, and making it that much harder. Keep at it, you're doing the right thing persisting.
Personally I think mental health gets the short shaft because it's the easiest thing to ignore, even by the General do gooders No powerful lobbies, and unfortunately many people unfairly attach a stigma to it. Our priorities are so screwed up sometimes....-

One tip...
Remember, you might pleatu a bit cause you are loosing a bunch of fat, but building some more muscles from the walking....
So even if you see a few weeks "suboptimal" losses, you are setting yourself up for better losses in the future!! Keep up the good work!!-

I've decided to postpone the Carpel Tunnel Surgery for now. To much going on to deal with not having a right hand for a month.
I know I lobbed one right there is the sweet spot as soon as I hit Post Quick Reply.-

Wow, this is at 91 pages. That is incredible. Thanks!!
So....I've not been in top form the past few weeks. Yes, I've slipped some. Haven't really lost any weight, then again, haven't gained any either. All my fault, didn't ap[ply myself like I was before. That is over for now.
Started a Ballroom Dance class today. It's once a week for now. The idea is to get "my feet back underneath me" as I like to say. Also want to grow as a human, develop some grace.
Been working on a personal blog too, it's been fun doing some writing, not worrying about the back end of the site, just writing. To keep things very simple the authoring tool, https://draftin.com/, is minimalist. Just me and a blank screen. With no tool bars and pop ups and all the gee whiz stuff found in Word this is a breeze. Ideas flow.
Therapy is going well too. My latest homework has me keeping a daily diary of what I do when. It is rather interesting to see just how we spend our days upon reflection in a diary. One tends to get more done, not so much more productivity, but more stuff is done. Not sure why.
Till next time...that is how things are here.-
