No hospital OR is buying those off Ebay for medicolegal reasons...Certified used, there are companies that specialize in that, or new. And you won't find them for anywhere near 68 bucks from those places.
What GREAT news! GOD [with the timely help of a fantastic surgical team] IS good! I'm so very happy for ya, Nate, and hope to see you up and about soon!
OK... I have to make the obvious joke. The rib spreaders that broke were made by Paulo Uber. They cost twice what the standard price (using the exact same design and manufacturer as the other vendors, but touting new features that were 'designed' by PU) and somehow, despite being made out of stainless, started rusting on day 2 of use.
Just got an update on Nathan... The breathing tube has been removed and they have Nathan sitting up in bed. He's very groggy but knows he's had a successful operation... Feeding him ice chips... The plan is to get Nathan up and about tomorrow morning.... No visitors are allowed in his room until probably sometime Thursday...
Glad to hear all went well! How long do they expect him to be in the hospital? Also, what shift does Taylor work to come by and visit?
Still gonna keep ya in my prayers, Nathan...every lil bit helps! Rest well, buddy...you're in the very best of hands!
Last week the target was this coming Friday.... Nothing formal at this point... We need to wait and see and really it's between the doctor and Nathan... As soon as something is more concrete it will be posted.... It's all in the recovery period now...
The sooner he is up and about that will decide on release date, they want to see you motivating ASAP, and hug that pillow tight when they ask you to cough. Great news. Be motoring in no time
Glad it went well! But those Junior Mints always work, and when your ribs are tougher than a Palo Uber rib spreader and you have a nurse named Taylor, things are assured of turning out well. You have to be careful with the "motivating" though, if you motivate too much you could go blind, and need further opthalmic surgery.
