Nate.... It was nice spending a few moments with you this morning.... Gotta say.... You are looking pretty good...
Glad your doing better Nate, keep up the good work and next year you will be walking all around Fontana and not driving. Wait, how the hell will we know where you are without your exhaust to let us know you are coming by? Hahaha I will take a happy walking Nate better than no Nate at all.
Oy. Yesterday was no fun at all. Think I may of done a bit much the day before. The pain level was high yesterday. Pretty much slept all day after watching F1. Didn't even want to watch Indy or the 600. Even to see how Kyle Busch ran. Today will be a better day!
Do NOT worry about Nathan's CAR exhaust noise, Dave!! With all those heart-healthy foods he is eating, I'm sure he [and we] has [will have] "other" exhaust noise issues to deal with!! In any case, trust me, we WILL ALWAYS know when Nate is around!
All I know is that I will NOT be lighting up any cigars at MOTD when Nate is strolling by! They say that second hand smoke kills, but what about those "natural" exhaust fumes? Talk about lethal....
Recovery from major surgery isn't a linear improvement as you're finding out; it's peaks and valleys, with the overall trend being gradual improvement. Take the bad days with a grain of salt (ok, maybe with a grain of salt substitute), back off a little, like you're doing, then get back at it. Overall, looks like you're doing great; don't let the slow days get you down, it's all part of the process.
x2 Nate, you know my wife is a cardiac nuke tech and she has always said the above is true post heart surgery.
A good day or so of rest was very helpful. It only hurts a lot to get out of bed in the morning now instead of hella lot. Progress! A big thanks to the local folks that came by and helped with domestic chores. I can't thank you enough for your generosity and smoked chicken. Made for a wonderful salad last night. A little work today, limiting to 50 min in front of the PC and a short walk should do me good today. Looking forward to my outing tomorrow with two other Old Farts.
My tip of the day... When recovering from coronary bypass surgery don't sneeze for it will hurt deeply and for a long time. So much for trying not to take narcotics today.
I just finished cutting the grass in your back yard.... Everyone's at work, so if you are up to it I'll drag "Le Chase Lounge" out back and you can get an "All over" tan...
