I caught Nate this morning headed out in the Gnatster... The squirrels have left the neighborhood.....
Latest update. Brain is still foggy, having trouble concentrating, this is affecting my work. Did an experiment to see which of the drug cocktail is causing this. It's the beta-blocker that I sorta really do need to take for a while longer that helps with keeping my heart running. Sorta important I guess... Wound clinic is down to one more visit in a month. They hurt me real good today digging round in there to make sure it was no longer deep. It's not! Started Cardiac Rehab today too. They beat me up real good there and promised to do it again Mon, Wed and Thurs for the next 12 weeks. The restrictions I had to not lift any more than 10lbs have been lifted too. I can take out my own trash again, yay.
I had real issues with my meds too, I've been off almost all of them for over 2 years now and still have some residual effects - I guess if that's the price we pay for being alive, so be it.
Stress test was this morning. Since I am writing this I obviously passed. I haven't been pushed that hard in quite some time. Now the fine staff at OSU will create an exercise plan that better suits my current level of "fitness". Here I thought the first week of Cardio Rehab was difficult. Now that a baseline is in place the envelope shall be pushed. Now to get the lack of sleep issues worked out.
I have an appt on Thurs to talk to my doc about this sleep issue. With all the other stuff they have me on I'm afraid to just try things out. In many ways OSU is amazing, in others they are utterly frustrating. At my last primary care doc checkup he put in orders for a sleep study. The lab that does those is backed up. My appt for the consultation to schedule the study is in late September.
Both my wife and I also take it every night. We take a 5 mg and a 3 mg to get to 8 mg does the trick and I have never had better full nights sleep. Not addicting at all and we buy it at the Supermarket.
Lil' B.A.D. takes it during the school year when he is on his meds and I have taken it when I go through periods of not being able to sleep. It is natural, but still a good idea to see what the docs say.
