Dave O is busy planning a preemptive strike against the sewing site. :ihih: Sit back & enjoy the show Nathan. I have some good therapy for you. I'll come get you & you can watch me wrestle a timing belt into my Meotter tomorrow. Should be a laugh riot.
Good luck Nathan, but I'm not worried about you. My best friend's dad had this surgery a couple months ago, and he's in his mid-80's. His Doc said this surgery is practically routine anymore...... But you'll be in for some life style changes once you're out, and some new food options! Good luck, you know we're all pulling for you. From another "survivor"......
Take care and I hope you get stabilized soon so you can proceed with surgery. Have a nice smooth and routine surgery. My prayers are coming your way.
Been in your shoes six years ago last March. The worst part was getting the chest tubes pulled and all itchy when hair starts growing back. The best part is the nurses and hydrocodone. Do what you're told and don't try to rush yourself. We're rootin' for you and welcome you into the 'zipper club'.
Good talking to you at Fontana and look forward to doing the same next year, here's to smooth and speedy recovery.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, but I'm sure it's a lock because of the loads of support and good karma coming back at you!
Hang in there man. The docs will get you straight. I over heard them talking the other day. "Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Nathan will be that man. Better than he was before. Better...stronger...faster." Get well soon!
Bring 'em for the nurses and staff... keeps them dropping by the room. "How are you doing, sir? Can I get you anything? Ummm... good donuts, thanks!" Worked during my extended stay in the Hotel d'Lysol a few years ago.
Nathan. Recommended reading for your recovery... "They tore out my heart and stomped that sucker flat" by Lewis Grizzard. I bought this for my Dad during his recovery and he loved it.
...oh yea, I hope the blood pressure cuff going off every 15 minutes or so doesn't bother you too much and when the nurse comes in each morning and askes "How are we this morning" try to cop a feel so you can tell her truthfully.
