Let me get this straight... You get to have some narcotics in exchange for exercise (referring to the docs refill, just "in case" you overdo it)! Hmm...if addidiction works you are gonna be one SKINNY DUDE!! Jk, but take it easy, and avoid the ice this time!! Our favorite website needs it operator healthy!!
Yeah, that is slightly odd, if you need narcotics after exercise, then you're doing too much to heal. If Nate shows up to the Dragon ripped, will send him for a tox screen.
I don't like taking them but the doc looked over my history, saw that I am working seriously on my overall health and said to me the he knows I'm going to over do it some days. Keep them in a safe place just in case. I was back in the gym this morning. No weights, lots of fun with elliptical type machines of various types for now. See the Physical Therapy team on Tuesday to start on Aquatic Therapy in the warm water pool.
Slow and light in the water might be the trick. Come Spring you will be a lean swimming machine doing laps at Lake Fontana. Good to see, get better and watch the over-do...... :frown2: Don
Gonna avoid that water then, I'm not taking any chances with shrinkage, I have to preserve what little I have left.
Perhaps we can count all you guys in for a fun couple of hours at the Kickball Hunger Games on Friday afternoon at the Dragon? Whether you are in the stands with your libation of choice or on the field fighting for your life (on this, Mod Father can corroborate!!!) it's going to be EPIC fun!!!! Perhaps Nathan, you could pitch a few???
Started Physical Therapy today in the warm water pool. Went rather well. Floatation sure did help. Almost wish I could stay floating in the pool till this all heals. While in the pool I'm thinking how easy this all is and I'll stop at the cardiac rehab area downstairs from the pool when I finished. All those ideas went away as I ascended the steps to leave the pool. Gravity is a cruel mistress. As not to skew the pain level pain meds were not involved. However, as soon as I got home... Nap time...I'm beat.
These past few weeks have been rough. The gloomy weather we've had here in Columbus did little to enhance my mood, coupled with percocet, it was a bit of downer. Stopped the percocet about a week ago. Been back in the gym, lost a fair bit of ground in ability and endurance. It will come back. Missed my goal of a 75 pound loss since the Heart Attack by 0.2 pounds. I'm calling it a win. Heres to a 2015 filled with clear roads, good friends and good health.
And a little sunshine wouldn't hurt either! Happy New Year Nathan, and here's to continued success...........and life!
74.8 rounded is 75 lbs you made it. If you take a good healthy movement I am sure you can drop that extra .02 and make it an official 75 lbs. Congratulation Nathan and we are all glad to have you for another year. HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Hey Nathan! Happy New Years from Colorado! You HAVE to appreciate the absolute transformation you have undergone.....since May?!!! AMAZING!!!!!
