I know we have talked about your conflict being able to make it to the Kickball Game Friday afternoon, but I will still run up to say Hi mid-game to give you a quick "hello" and an update on the results and hopefully, more than the current 8 people we have will sign up. Seriously people, an hour of fun on the baseball field with miniacs and kickball...bring your friends.....:biggrin5:
Winter hit me harder than normal this year. Gained a little over 20lbs. Was rather depressed for weeks. Hibernated quite a bit and in general was blah. A few nice days and I'm rearing to go again. Been out walking. Been eating better. Been growing a beard. Ahhhhh... Someone even wrote Hell Yeah! in the frost on the side window of the MINI this morning. I call that a good sign. :biggrin5:
Hibernating season is always a killer, but get back in the ring man, you're doing great! Cant wait to see the new you next month, but you have a little catching up to do with the beard.
Yeah, winter sucks. I don't know what I'd do if I lived in the snow belt and couldn't get out and walk much. Glad you're back at it!
Been a while since I've updated me. it's been a tough road, something is messed up more than it used to be in my head. We're working on it. The good news... Had a scope today to check the cancer is still gone. It is! Now I go to semi-annual checks instead of quarterly.
That's awesome! I think the head stuff is a complex medical condition commonly referred to as "BBHFBJMR" (Bad Barry High Frequency Bad Juju Magnetic Radiation). One of those space blankets wrapped over your head, like in "Better Call Saul", will usually take care of it.
I told you... your lady friends need to stop flushing those things down the toilet... I'll bring the snake over in a bit... In the mean time you can use the head out in the shop...
Great news Nathan! If your head is still a little messed up when you get to Fontana I recommend that you talk to Jan. He's got the best head for Gnat.
Nathan, I got here late and haven't read the whole thread. However, after a heart attack in 1984 and a heart valve with 4 by-passes in 2012, I have developed an eating plan and exercise program that has worked for me. Maybe we can hook up at the Dragon and talk. Keep going forward...Teddy
MINIs on the Dragon was very good for my mental state. One doesn't see changes in oneself to well. Validation by multiple sources is rather helpful. Now tanned, somewhat rested and ready to get into the swing of things.
We all think you look mahvelous... :cornut: Congratulations on successfully navigating the last year!
I'm gonna be a human test subject! Been accepted in a study at The Ohio State University titled: Growing HOPE for Cancer Survivors: A Pilot Project I feel fortunate to be accepted. The study group is only 50 people. The structure will be rather helpful towards accomplishing my long range goals set a year ago. I may blog about this exerience if allowed. Have to check with the study coordinator.
