Asked the study coordinator if it ok to write about my experiences. So long as I do not identify anyone else in the study in any way I have the approval. Once I start writing again I'll put up a link to my blog. I haven't written for the blog since November 2014.
Nathan I'm very glad you are still with us. You were damned lucky. Best wishes for continued good health.
:cornut: I was lucky. I did have the full blockage of a main gas hose with fuel pump damage but they were able to slip a bore scope in under the bonnet and expand the hose and place a liner. I was awake when it was done and 50% of the pain was gone. It felt so good that I asked them if they could do it again. Single vessel single lesion, I was lucky and in the palm of the Big Boy's hand. Date: late night 15 Oct 01 and I got a $3k helicopter ride that I didn't have to parachute out of. Life goes on. That was an ironically funny night but that's a story for another time. Jason
You looked great at the Dragon, so keep up whatever freaky hipster stuff you are in to! See you down there next year, might have to show you the new place. (I should have one by then) And I still need a bottle of your Hot Sauce! That stuff was GOOD!
I had a heart valve replaced, along with 4 feed line repairs in 2012. It was like getting rebuilt for retirement. So far...GREAT. I had a triple by-pass in 1984. Nathan, if you are blogging about your 'study' somewhere, let me know. I am always interested picking up knowledge that helps. Thanks...

Visited the Cardiologist today for a six month checkup. Things are going well. I should lose more weight, keep up the good wok. He's given me a goal to drop 25lbs by the next visit in 6 months. My own goal is a little more than that number for the same time frame.
You could easily make that goal... Just stay active! That is the real key to weight control... No diet in the world will work for somebody who sits on the couch all day. Keep walking those pounds off, and pick it up a bit now that its getting warm. It's obviously working for you.
My wife has really reduced the amount of carbs intake and her weight loss had been very productive. Carbs convert into sugars, then you know the rest. She is borderline diabetic has worked so far.
My Mom always referred to me as THICK WAISTED in high school. Fast forward, Limiting sugar, starch and increasing protein whenever possible along with your daily incessive commitment to MOVE IT, has brought me a lot of success. You go Nathan!!! (feel free to imagine the Move it sound track from Madagascar, Will I Am) which is EPIC...
