Nathan is doing good this morning... He's up and sitting in a chair.... Lots of pain but he's tired.... He got a twofer.... while they were in there stirring the pot they went ahead and fixed his hernia.... Here's a shot from his 20th floor penthouse view.... No sign of the 3 dancing nurses or the popcorn....
I'm REALLY glad to know he got thru his surgeries [both planned and unplanned] okay! Now that he is on that penthouse floor, he can use his spare recuperation time as a "storm watcher"!:ihih:
Apparently Nathan has become a big pain in the asp.... Rumor has it that they may be giving him the boot tomorrow... Another unfounded rumor is that he was caught peeing out the 20th floor window uttering a hellacious giggle all the while popping pain meds... The head nurse is having none of that.... So they will be sending him home I guess...
Hey, I can see my house in Kansas from there! :biggrin5: Good to hear that he's still with us and as ornery as ever!
Somebody snuck video out of the hospital. Apparently he doesn't care much for the music, or his medications... [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJDWd91nlI4"]Medicine time - YouTube[/ame] CD
Speaking of being on the 20th floor in the hospital...A million years ago, when I was in med school doing my inpatient psych rotation (most of the patients were there for depression/suicidal ideation), the unit was on about the 20th floor. It was a lockdown unit, patients couldn't get out, all the windows were sealed in the rooms (as they are today). The elevators were within the unit in a small alcove off to the side, and accessible to the patients, but only operable with a keycard. There were windows in the alcove, and one day as my attending (who also happened to be chief of psychiatry) and I were waiting by the elevator for what seemed like hours, I went over to the windows (these were BIG windows, a person could easily fit through them) and looked out. Then I noticed they looked like they were operable. So I checked....They were. The attending wasn't paying attention, so I casually said, "hey, shouldn't this be sealed?" By the smell of it, I think he **** his pants. He basically yelled at me to close it, and don't move away from it until he got back. Within 5 minutes he was back with maintenance guys who sealed it temporarily until they could get new permanent non-openable windows installed. He told me later they'd been that way for years; when the floor was remodeled for the psych unit they were missed. I got highest honors in Psych.....
Well Don.... Since you asked.... Here's the nurse that inserted Nathan's catheter... This hospital has a history of excellent early release successes.....
You are all wrong...First, there was Caitlyn. Now, with no further ado, let's give a warm welcome to.......Natalie! Let this be a lesson to one and all. Read your consent forms carefully.
I wonder where Natalie got the "candy on a string" bikini outfit.... Those things would have to be special ordered I would think... That's gotta be a hit with the hot tub crowd.... There must have been some advanced planning that went into this stay...
