Would love to stop by, but we are in Orlando until Thursday. Continued thoughts and prayers from the land of the black rat.
Glad to see you up and about. Just don't eat that hospital food I hear it can give you a heart attack. :frown2: Too soon..... Nope. Get well soon big good buddy.
Good to see you up and moving. Sounds like you're in very capable hands and have some good MOMers checking on you. Take care and God Speed.
CHKMINI posted a 'down but not out' thread on the sewing site Friday (very thoughtful of you by the way) and there have only been two responses to it and both of them M/A members. Another of them things what makes you go Hmmmm.
That site, it's owners and it's members don't have a clue about the MINI community. Nor do they care about anyone but themselves. NAM will become the F56 site in short order worrying about how to get their new eyelashes to fit the new style headlights.
Oh yeah having a mostly great day. Had a little issue at about lap 40 of the F1 race but waited to the checked flag to call the nurse. They had a good laugh over that as they put on the Nitroglycerin patch and deadened the pain with morphine. The best part tho, I got to shave and even take a shower. Thanks to the MoM folks that have visited too. Was good to see you.
I'm concerned that they can't get you stabile enough to get you into surgery, take it easy big guy and lets get this done.....or is it just that rates are cheaper on weekdays?
Nothing to be concerned about. The cardiologist was surprised I've not had more incidents. The wait is to get the Plavix they used during the cardiac catheter out of my system.
Believe me those docs know what they are doing, doesn't matter how old they are, what nationality/sex; they are worth every damn penny! I know.
Nathan was telling me about the entire hierarchy that exists in the hospital, which I didn't know about.... It all has to do with coat length. The interns have the shortest jackets.... The surgeons have the longest coats.... Everyone else's coat length is somewhere in between.... When they descend on your room.... Listen to the person with the longest coat.... Unless of course the longest coat happens to be pushing a mop.... The mop is the key in that example.... Ummmmm.... Junior Mint???? The hierarchy at the university is totally different than a private hospital, but the coat thing does work at the university, for the most part. But there is one HUGE exception. Where I trained, we wore pink scrubs in the OR, so they'd be instantly recognizable, as they weren't to be worn outside the OR, and to discourage theft. BUT, if you were staff and VERY high on the food chain, wearing those pink scrubs outside the OR was the ultimate distinction. If you could wear pink scrubs without fear of disciplinary action, you were pretty much a department head or close. And it meant you were above wearing a coat. The hierarchy at a university hospital: 1. Board of Regents 2. Chief of Staff 3. Department Heads 4. Staff Physicians 5. Mid-level providers 6. RN's 7.LPN's 8.Support staff-receptionists, secretaries, etc. 9. Janitorial Staff 10. Resident Physicians 11. Pile of Dog Poo 12. Medical Students At a catholic teaching hospital, the list remains the same, except at the top are the nuns, #2 is god, then the bishops.
So a very tall person wearing a long coat next to a very short person wearing a short coat could be confused with being of lower status than the short person?
