I liked seeing that "Marvel Mystery" oiler... I have a can of that we use to oil my air tools in the shop.... That product has been around forever....
A bit of subject, but kind of oily & that has never stopped me before. I still have a can of SAAB Hi M oil sitting on the shelf. Never know when I'm going to find that perfect SAAB 850 Monte Carlo that needs a good home.
A buddy in college had a Judson supercharger on his Beetle. It went like snot! But he had a spare motor and when one blew up, he had the other ready to go, it seemed that I was helping with the motor swap about once a year. He did drive the hell out of it though! Dave
I remember VW beetle engine swaps. Took about an hour if you were working slow. Things have changed a bit. Several days is an average swap these days.
:cornut:When I worked Auto Parts in the 60's the hot ticket was the Holley 2 barrel 'Bug Spray' carburator and manifold set up. And of course the Exhaust Headers, Mallory dual point distributor, cross cutting the heads to increase compression ratio, a Hurst Shifter, and shortening the frame to accept a fiber glass 'Dune Buggy' body. The old days were Great! Jason
