    Thanks Chuck.

Mmmmmm.......a pulley too....mmmmm....supercharger's the same as the JCW only without the pulley........mmmmmmm.......

If only Randy was still doing pulley parties......

Question: Where would one find an unused 15% Webb pulley?

    Why a Webb pulley?

Lots of great pulleys out there. I would go for a WMW one now.

I find it hard to believe a hood scoop could possibly introduce enough extra drag to limit lap times.

Why? Oh, I don't know. Maybe for old times sake. I remember when Randy was doing all these cutting edge things with MINIs and pushing the envelope. But I guess things just didn't work out for him.

Mrs. Moreorless says I'm a hopeless romantic for things sentimental. And from her I'll take that as a compliment.

(but the rest of you guys just be careful) :skep:

Yep, you're right, there are lots of pulleys. I'm inclined to the Way one. And I'll be honest as it's nothing to do with the quality of the product because I've never seen one.

But the quality of Way has been shown over and over and over.

Hey no problem with being sentimental.........I was lucky enough to assist in setting up one of the first (and the first in the NW) pulley parties. Was April 2004 and I got my pulley installed by Randy at that time. It was an Alta pulley as Randy stopped rebadging his just before.

You probably couldn't go wrong with any of the pulleys out there, except for the Madness one. I don't trust George at Madness to take care of any problems that might come up after the sale. Let's just say that the local club will not ever endorse or suggest Madness as a local vendor. Even though he is in the same city.

Time for a road trip to see Chad at Detroit Tuned. I highly recommend him, he's aces.

I know this is the 1st gen forum, but I love my Vortex 2. I have had both M7 scoops on my R53 and my R55 and really impacts the look.

    On my R55

Richard, you certainly do have a way with MINIs.

I think the Extreme may be a bit to extreme for me.

I like the lines of the Vortex 2 a bit more than the Vortex 1.

But since I have a R53, that's not going to work.

But, the Voltage appears to have lines similar to the Vortex 2.

    Sent hint to Mrs. Moreorless.

Thanks :D ..those pix of my R53 with the black/silver wheels was the day I sold it...had stock suspension on it. Certainly wasn't my favorite look, lol.

Good luck on the scoop hunt...I know how hard it is to decide, lol.

How much does the factory scoop weigh compared to the aftermarket units? Is it considerably less?

[rant] Also - why does Voltage automatically tack on $30.00+ dollars to shipping when they only pay $9.70 plus a reused box and some really crappy packing materials? On top of that there is no tracking or shipping updates and just normal ground. [/rant]
