I am so excited. The weather is looking great for the races. I'm leaving Wednesday but feel like just blowing out of here tomorrow.

MINI JCW Team qualifying session starts at 2:10 EST TODAY! Don't be late, because their session only lasts 15 min. Short qualifying means you either be ready or you go to the back of the pack. There won't be much time to make many changes.
Ethan Low & Mark Pombo in #37 were 4th in ST class in yesterday's practice.
Live timing & scoring will be on IMSA website.
It should be interesting. :fingerscrossed: -

This is nearly identical to an article posted earlier but includes an additional driver announcement. If you add them up, they're still only up to 5 drivers for 3 cars; that's 1 short. Based on what I see in the practice results, looks like Pombo is going to do a stint each in 37 and 73.

The MINIs had a few problems today. Two of the three were given the opportunity (by competitors) to try to work their way up from the back of the field.
Also, this happened.....

Anyone else watching? I'm really enjoying this race!
Good to see the Mazda prototype able to run with the others this year.
Those new Ford GT cars have great pace as well and, though they've each lost a bunch of laps to electrical and mechanical issues, are still lapping as quickly as the leading GTLMs. -

I'm still trying to find out what happened with Taylor and Angelelli, particularly since the latest I've seen on the latter is "Max Angelelli is reported as conscious and stable at a local hospital".

At the last pit stop Ricky got out & Max got in due to Ricky being bothered by fumes in the cockpit. After the checker Max pulled over & opened the door. I'd say the fumes got to him even more than Ricky.

Do hope to hear good news soon. -

Right, and though I first thought Taylor was complaining about fuel fumes I now assume it was exhaust...right?

Looks like Mike Shank Racing was having a good race until the engine let go.
Being that the other Honda powered car won it might mean good thanks for MSR this year. -

MSR is supposed to run that Daytona winning car at Le Mans this year.
