I remember hearing a news report about abandoned cars at the Dubai Airport. Apparently it was causing them quite a bit of problems. Not making your payments on a debt there is a criminal offence, worth of a substantial jail time. When the economy went south and all of Dubai's new rich lost their crazy incomes, the owners of lots of exotic and high-end luxury cars faced jail time. They would drive to the airport, park their cars in the lot and climb on a plane to another country (with no intention of returning) before the debt was referred to the authorities. This left the airport parking lot littered with high-end cars that were never going to be picked up (other than by repo services).
Those are amazingly wide cars, never seen one in person but every photo with a person in it shows how wide that car is. I can't imagine trying to keep it on one side of the double yellow on a twisty road.
