    Yes, that's right!
This month's Bimmer magazine features the first Mini featured by Motoring Alliance: drPhil's R53.
I can't post the 4-page article here, but if you PM me...
Here's a photo from the shoot:

The car is scheduled to appear in MC2 also, so I'm stoked that a 5-year old car can still grab attention, and be deserving of the pages of a magazine. Still, this month's featured Mini proves that age is no obstacle when it comes to recognizing iconic vehicles.

    cheers,
    Phil

Thanks for sharing. Car still looks great and it sure is nice that there is some coverage outside of the MINI realm.

Yes, Nathan, it's nice to see a Mini outside the standard Mini media. Bimmer runs the occasional Mini, and reports on Mini news. My local Mini dealer is also the BMW dealer, but I don't know if that is usual or not. I also wonder how many BMW buyers would consider a Mini, since they are quite different cars and driving experiences. Still, as we all know, the BMW influence in the Mini is strong, mostly for the better.

Oh yeah, thanks for sending over the pdf. Was quite a good article.

I'm written the publishers for permission to post the pdf after the cover date has passed. So that means it won't be till November at the earliest to those of you debating on buying the magazine, go buy a copy...

As a little background, the guy who wrote the article is a professional writer for car magazines--and covers Corvettes, Porsches and BMWs. Bummer he doesn't do Ferraris and Audis too. Still, it amazes me how a living can be eeked out of writing articles, but I guess it can if you're good enough to be almost guaranteed to get the article accepted.
The other thing that I found interesting was how long it took to get from idea, to photos, to draft, to publication--about 9 months. By academic publication standards that's long for physical sciences, but short for the social sciences. I can see why we rely more on internet-provided news and information these days.
