Nology wire - waste of money but since you have them you may as well use them. The OEM wires do a great job, for some color try Kingsbourne.

Amsoil - Fine product as well as is Royal Purple and Redline. Use the viscosity specified for your engine. 5W-30 I think but others will correct me if wrong.

As for an oil filter - OEM all the way. The other brands may be a buck or two more inexpensive but they are not of the same quality.

Oil, if you change it regularly at 3-5 7k is pushing it? Oil can be expensive or sensible, the oil on sale works fine, see info on oil. Anything else is advertising hype!

Spark plugs NGK oem heat range unless you are going to do the needed work to determine another type and heat range.

If “screamin demond” you are referring to a transformer/coil you may be better to stay with the stock coil? The material quality of some aftermarket coils are less than desirable and may actually cause problems. If you must change your coil shop for ones that have brass or copper plug towers.

Spark plug wires are not all the same do the research and find the highest quality with the least ohms per foot.

When you change your plugs it is a good idea to use a little thread anti-seize on the threads, if single ground electrode check the gap and when installing properly torque them.
Be very careful about the oil plug start the threads carefully by hand and do not over tighten. There is actually a torque value but few ever take the time to do it correctly.
Use dielectric grease on spark plug wire boots.

 

It looks like the Amsoil European Car Formula is the only one they have that meets the A3/B3 specification.

 

Don't waste your money on the oil, just go for a quality major brand synthetic and keep the intervals at an acceptable length. You will never have a problem as long as you use an OEM filter.

And +1 on what the others have said.......lol

 

NGK BKR6EQUP is the right spark plug for R50, R52, and R53 (non-JCW).

R56's use a different plug and a different socket, and I can't really pretend to know what I'm talking about with second generation MINIs. =)
