In the summer of 2008 a collection of Minis, their owners, family, and friends undertook an adventure to traverse the entire length of the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of our nation’s most treasured national parks, a monumental public works project, and a great drive. The 2008 route followed the Parkway from the north end near Waynesboro, VA, to the south end near Cherokee, NC. For 2009, we are planning to reverse the route, going from south to north. The dates have been set for participants to gather in (or near) Cherokee on June 18, 2009 (a Thursday). Our journey will begin on June 19th and we will end up in Waynesboro that Sunday, June 21st. Our tentative plans are for overnight stops to occur at or near Boone, NC, and Roanoke, VA. Thanks for your interest. We look forward to seeing you on the Parkway in June 2009!
