Going to finally get rid of the runflats that came from the factory.

Gonna run 205/45s on my 17" wheels
Looking at one of the following, and any input would be great.

    Hankook Ventus V2
    Kumho ECSTA AST

I live in Nor Cal so no weather issues at all (ie everyone here freezes if it's below 60 and is dying of heat when over 90 - so we've all agreed to only allow that to happen a few times each year! :biggrin5:)

    Anyone running either of these?

I would not recommend the Hankook's. I have been running mine for a bit over a year and they don't give me the same "confidence" that my GY F1's did. They seem to be very "squirrely" when braking hard and thru the turns. I raised my pressures to around 38psi all the way around and it helped, but they still don't feel very planted.

Dunlop Direzza Star Specs. They've put GY F1 to shame. Although I don't see them currently in our size.

I like my s.drives so far. Much better than the runflats. I do find them to be a little on the noisy side, but I just keep the radio turned up.

I am running Nitto Motivos. They have been on the dragon several times and on several other rally's in NC and they perform well, dry or wet!

I like my AST's, good tracktion wet & dry, esp. For the price and the tread life, not as good as there XS's, but IMO, they're next best & will last prob. twice as long.
