Since you mounted behind the fog light, do you intend to use it as a "FOG HORN"?

WOW.....
Hahahahaha.... Got to finally try out my Super Hellyeah horns today.... Wired them up with a remote relay and 14 gauge wire..... Man.... Them horns are LOUD.... They are "teeth ratlin" loud....
These things are rated at 118db..... They are frickin loud....
The oem wiring feeds two stock horns.... I took one of the connections to trip a remote relay that feeds the Hella horns and the second oem connector feeds one of the stock horns.... So I have 3 horns firing.... Now I just need to decide if I want the low tone or hi tone oem horn.....
Oh..... Did I mention..... These horns are LOUD.....
Jeff.... Get the Super Hella Horns....After the next donut munch.... Stop by the shop and you can hear them.... CAUTION..... Ear protection is recommended.....
Hey Justa Jim.... You can mark the horn mod off my do list now....rrr:

Made a wiring loom for the Hella horns today.... The wiring is protected with a woven abrasion resistant sheath just like the OEM wrap...
Got the OEM connectors last week which will plug into the stock horn plug.... I'll use the stock horn circuit to drive the remote relay so I get full amperage to the Hella horns.... The stock wiring seems pitifully undersized and this will resolve that concern...

Ummmm... Yeah.... As of today....
Now that I have my MINI cave.... Been playing "long overdo" catch up....
With my front bumper removed, I finally got around to finishing up the bracket for the Hella horns....
The wimpy MINI stock are the Italian Fiamm units.... They are gone now...
Had to get a little creative with the mount though...
Finished this one today...
Installed....
Now just need to deal with the wiring...-

Both stock horns are behind and slightly above the passenger side fog light.... If you open the bonnet and look in the gap by the bumper cover you will see them...
Yes, special OEM plug with rubber gasket connector...
Wire size looks to be around 20 gauge, which seems pretty thin for a 20A protected circuit...
No ramps or lift needed..... I removed the front bumper cover because of my other project.... I imagine it could be done by going behind the wheel well cover.... You would need to remove the wheel and put it up on jack stands with that method...
I actually have both Hella and one stock horn (Hi tone) operating because I left one OEM connector attached and the other connector operates the Hella relay...
I made a custom metal bracket that attaches both Hella horns to one of the frame bolts on the bumper beam mount... These horns are heavier than the OEM and I wanted a secure solid mount that would stand up to our crummy roads here in Ohio...-

It'sa slow journey....
Haven't done anything since the last post....
One is hanging, one is still in the box.
Haven't ordered the Hella waterproof relay yet.
May go down to the shop and try to fit the second Hella today. -
Found this project on Kickstarter. Might be just what the Dr. ordered for horns.

So did you ever get around to installing the other horn? I just installed mine under the passage side headlight. Drop the stock one down so I could mount one of the horns on top of it. Then mounted the other one flat next to that one. Just need to wire them up now.
