The website designboom recently sat down with MINIs Design Chief, Anders Warming. I have to say, for a site focused on design it is hard to read. Really, are small fonts, lack of capitalization and poor formatting the new thing. Full article.
I have discovered that people who do not have, or will not accept "standards" in whatever they do, are destined to be incapable of judging good from bad. These designers lack standards so no wonder they cannot recognize awful design. These are the same people who don't want to believe two plus two equals four.
That's a lot of words to say almost nothing. But then he does apparently wear a scarf in the office*, so what do you expect? *The modern designer's equivalent of the cardigan and dodgy 'tache that so many auto designers used to like?
I don't know about the current future design direction.... It's not giving me a feeling of confidence like I got with Gert Hildebrand... I hope I'm wrong....
