If you want to make your car look more masculine you could always hang a set of those truck nuts off the back. :lol::lol::lol::lol:

This is a picture of the '04 Black MCS that I once owned. I like the Murdered-Out look. Post up some pics and you'll find no shortage of opinions from here on MA!

Two MINIs ago, I had someone side-swipe the front end of my '05 PW/B JustaCooper after one year of ownership. Although the damage to the front bumper skin and bonnet was mostly superficial, I used the body shop opportunity to add an Aero Kit and a MCS bonnet. I had designs someday of routing the scoop intake over to the CAI, but time marched on and I never got around to that mod. I made no attempt to beef up the power plant and virtually all of the mods had a cosmetic aspect to them, even in the engine bay.

You can judge the look for yourself (see attached pic). I always caused lots of head-scratching when folks would notice the single tail pipe and try to reconcile it with the rest of the car.

In retrospect, I think if I had it to do all over again I would have kept the MC bonnet. There was always a little part of me that felt like a poser, and I think I actually stood out less from the crowd with the MCS appearance. Plus, there is something about the unbroken, graceful lines of the MC front end that very much appeals to me. Even though my current MINI is an MCS, I'm seriously considering a return to the world of the naturally aspirated MINI (probably an R59). Justa Jim could probably use the company.

Wheels and tires can make a different look. Window tint changes the look a lot.
I know that there a few people here who can show you a ton of different rims that they have had on their MINI's. Just keep in your mind that MINI's were born from race cars,
    now that is pretty manly!
    Keep it MINI

    Welcome to M/A!

That's a Cooper S hence the different bonnet than yours.

Is it good looking? Yes, though beauty is in the mind of the beholder. A bit of a make-over can improve (or at least change) the way you ... erm ... behold it.

Personally I think most MINIs need a bit of a cute-ectomy. Will that make it look more masculine? I suppose, though I don't think that's the way I looked at it when making minor exterior adjustments to my '02. I'm in the anti-chrome minority and I think the way you choose to delete some of the chrome -- how you hide it and/or what you replace it with -- can go a long way toward lowering the cuteness quotient.

If you are trying to take a Cooper and turn it into an S it's been proven time and time again the best way is to trade it in.

There are other differences that are not visual, like ECU programming, engine internals and water pump methodology.

It would far easier to make the Cooper look "meaner" than try and turn it into an S.

Welcome to the Alliance. There are many things you can do to change the look of your MINI. Not sure what you mean about making it more masculine.

Nice! how much did all that cost you? I've never modded a car at all, did you buy a whole new front hood?

:cornut: With me the whole idea is what's going through other driver's minds. "How can that darned little cute car that was behind me and is now in front of me, maneuver and accelerate so rapidly? Cute cars aren't supposed to be able to do that." I just drive away smiling.

I think the s hood helps cut through the "cuteness" but then again my mini is now pink
