If you want an S the you should get one because you will always wish you had one. But if that is not the case I say it is worth it. Every now and then I will go test drive another car that I may want. But I get back in my Mini and just love driving it too much. I would part with My car for a first get GP or a coupe, maybe. I just sunk around $1500 in parts on my 02 R53 and don't regret it a bit.

^^^^^ That is where I'm at. I just love the styling of the damn thing, and the way it drives. It just took some doing to put nearly $2300 into a car that is maybe worth $5000. The work that DT did was well worth that much, no question. But it still represents half the "monetary" value of the car. I guess that it is just part of the obsession that makes us spend all kinds of money on mods, detailing, maintenance, etc, on a car that we would rather have than any other.
My goal was/is to keep the R50 as my daily driver, and to get an R53 (in Chili Red of course). -

FWIW the cheapest car is the one you already own. :yesnod: -

I understand Lee. As we both know family comes first. Maybe the seller will throw in a scholarship or two.
