To answer the question, NO! But the Focus RS is!!!!!!

Oh and for respect of those with tender ears I won't say anything about MINI becoming over bloated and over priced.

Focus RS isn't a MINI killer, but it is a JCW/GP killer...

I doubt we'll the S-FR here. And if we do, it will only have a minimal impact on MINI sales--it simply doesn't have the utility of a hatch. I like the idea, but I suspect it'll be a pretty small niche if it comes here.

Thanks for the report, JC. One typo I think: It lists the S-FR's weight at 2160 lbs, 1400 more than the MINI 3 door hard top. I think that's a mistake--the 3 door hard top doesn't weigh 3560 lbs.

Lol! That would be one heavy MINI! In the morning fog, looked at the approved GVW in kg and converted for the difference. Didn't even think about it. The reality is only a 740 lb difference.

I don't see the S-FR any more a Mini killer than the Fiat is. I suspect at that price point the handling of the car would be nothing much more than a Smart Car with a fancier body.
