Damnit....I thought this was going to be a Pink Floyd thread.
Welcome,
I'm local to you, but I just don't do any of the local events, not wanting to cast aspersions but the Stl club was a little to "tame" for me when I first got my car & I just never kept up with them.
Enjoy your ride & if there's ever anything you think I can help you with, feel free to PM me.

Sure thing doc grew down less than 6 miles from the shut ins. Got some good motoring roads all around that area. Just give me a holler.

Welcome to the Alliance, the St Louis club has a couple of events they promote pretty well, one being the winery tour in the fall, I am stuck in the middle of the state not much happening here as far as clubs go that why I call M/A home, that other site you mentioned, not so much.
I save up for the national events, MOTD is the first one on my list this year. -
There are a few folks in the area that drift in and out. You will get more replies. Go to the local events too, you'll meet some great people.
Welcome, thanks for joining Motoring Alliance, the FUN and Friendly MINI Community. -
Welcome Tiny, kind of my feelings as well about Stl Mini. I'm on here most every day. Not going to make the Dragon this year but plans are in the works for next. I live 1 hour south of St. Louis.

The club has several events a year, many of which are well attended.
The Fall Rallye, Spring Rallye, Winery Run,
A Holiday Lights drive and party, happy hour get-togethers,
and ad-hoc drives out of state. I'd say most
members are not too active on the Internet
boards anymore. But, as you can see, there
are many great club events. Welcome! -

The St. Louis club is very active but we seem to have trouble posting our events everywhere every time. The best place to find information is our club site or our Facebook site. Here are the links.

Hope to see you at some events. -

Today's STL MINI Club event is to see how much snow you can plow with the front cowling. I saw no other MINIs out there today, so I guess I win

Not sure what you mean by "tame"? Keep up with us and you will have some fun.
We run the double letter roads in the hills with gusto! -
Unfortunately, The STL MINI Club is not very active on the forums any longer. You may want to keep an eye on Facebook as the Club posts lots there. Also give the website a look like John said. Those of us that are here are long time members of the Club. Some events are spirited others not so much. We do have to obey the rules of the road & don't want to get a member injured. Believe me, seeing a MINI turned up side down on a twisty Missouri road is not a pleasant sight!!! Give an event a try or just show up at a happy hour & introduce yourself, we love new members.
