It looks like there is a part number stamped on the top of it. Plug that into Google and see what it returns...never seen anything like that though...

can't make out the numbers... what are they?
-
I can't tell either, but looking at the spacing it may be a BMW Part Number.

According to RealOEM it is a 15mm suspension block. Part 31332283805
-
Almost looks like something that may have been used for shipping and supposed to be removed?
-
What does that mean?? Mine is a 2012 stock jcw coupe...
realoem says part ended in 2008..
Does that mean, this one belongs to other car??

I would contact your local dealer, as there isn't much info online about that part. I have done several suspension installs on R53 and R56s and never seen that part before. I am guessing, but it may be some sort of spacer that is placed in the springs when shipping the car here to the U.S. to limit suspension travel or damage? Again I am just guessing on that...
-
Sure..will definitely contact the local dealer, MAG in dublin
Thanks Guys for the info

Jack up your MINI and lift the dust boot for each damper...
MINI puts shipping spacers in the suspension for the boat trip across the pond to reduce suspension travel...
They are supposed to be removed once delivered to the customer...
There should be two white spacers and one blue spacer that gets removed...
Sounds like someone didn't get them all removed...
Should be a simple process for you to do if you don't want the hassle of taking it back to the dealer...

I'm surprised they weren't making an awful noise!
-
I bet the car will feel a lot better with them removed!
-
Hoping for a good outcome. :fingerscrossed:
