    Thanks guys!

I really need to update the pic's and specs here, but I think I will wait until spring... I've got a few photo shoots planned with some local MINI gurus and novice photographers.

The old Cross Creeks Raceway will serve as a good backdrop, since it has been shut down and abandoned for the last 10ish years... Something about a rusty old looking car on an abandoned and overgrown racetrack sounds appealing to me. :D

I've followed the transformations of this car and while not everything that has been done will be liked by everyone the one thing that can be agreed on is the ingenuity and perseverance to a vision by the owner.

    Thats right!

Not so much changing inside, but the body and engine will be a 180 degree turn around from the original plan...

I should be finishing some more of the bodywork and starting on paint again soon, but here is a preview. :)

Hmm... Didn't know I made the random garage...

Thanks Dave... When I started the new redesign, I actually expected a ton of criticism from you... :)

But, you and everybody else must like my Von Dutch style work! :D

That being said with the final paint going on the roof tomorrow... Its time for a thread and a major update here! Been on the other site for what a week now? Last I checked wasn't even up to 2000 views... :(

It is true that other forum is dead... Except for Walnut Blasting Group Buys, and Oil Change Interval threads! :(

I agree a thread here needs to be opened to track the project. I'm following it on the other 2 sites and I like the progress and the results so far.

Just wait to you see it when it's done. It will not look anything like the car above.:ihih: Including the motor area and the outside.

Thanks guys, sooner or later it will be back on the road. I am hoping to have the body stuff done this summer. All thats really left to do is shoot the paint.

Then it's just getting the money for the new engine.

Do you have a cage? I couldn't tell, but one of your pictures it looks like you do.
If you do, is it bolt in or weld?
    Great looking car!

Isobell, (AKA) The CAR. :: 2005 MINI COOPER S

Yes I do. Its the AutoPower bolt in "Race version" bar, with some hoops welded on to hold the harness's from sliding on the bar. I might eventually end up adding some door bars, to bring some of the stiffness up front. If I do that I will probably weld the bar to the floor, and make some under car braces that will use the holes, and make it stronger.

First things first though... I need a motor! Everything is useless if you cant drive it.
