Well if the weather holds out, there will be a working engine in the Rat-MINI by the end of the week! Then its an 800 mile round trip drive one day to pick up the ViPEC before I can see if everything is going to work. :(

Thats not the end of the project though... Still lots to do! I need all the clips that hold the trim on, still have a few things to paint if there is time, and still have to go through everything to make sure it still works. All of that has to get done before I leave for the Dragon on April 24th, wish me luck, I'm gonna need it!

Heck yeah, I threw a 1/2" drive ratchet almost through the wall of the garage!
Had to take the day off and go for a drive to figure out what I am going to do now. :(

The whole situation is pretty F56'ed up, but I actually enjoy building and modifying cars more than driving them most of the time... Looks like the Rat is going to get some more work done before she gets turned loose on the street again.

Yeah Sh#t happenes and nothing every goes well when you are in a rush. I have learned to plan everything out and make sure you have time and extra hands for big project moments.

I have also thrown wrenches through walls but once it hit a stud and bounced back and broke my windshield. If you think I was pissed off at the moment a threw the wrench imagine how I almost exploded after that. :incazzato::mad2::mad5::incazzato:

Getting pissed off is ok but I have learned the hard way all it does in the end is create another project. On the brite side I learned how to repair odd holes in Drywall really well.

Not quite Dave... New exhaust still needs built, the straight pipe is just WAY too loud with the catless shorty header.

Almost done with the intake, just a couple brackets and the lid to make. :D

Too bad I wont even be able to hear it until I can get everything else fixed. :(

Ok, "Mini of the Month" died a sordid death.

But there is no reason why Nate couldn't designate an "Anti-Mini of the month", like on a pirate flag banner or something....

Ummm, perhaps I should stay out of this conversation!

After 30+ years of racing with varieties of manual shifting, I appreciated my paddle shifters.

    :)

C&C link with more RR pics.

The only way I'll drive an automatic is if my knees or hips can't deal with driving stick anymore.

And then I very well might go drive off a cliff.

My two MGs have sticks, my MINI has an automatic, I wanted the paddle shifters!
Heck, the MINI's automatic shifts faster than I ever could shift a stick.
