Or better... A 13-B-T is only right around 200 pounds complete... Add that to a car that weighs next to nothing, and you get... Well FAST! [emoji2]

Since we are talking about the 7 in the Rat's thread, I should go and create a project thread for it... I was going to wait until after the 20th when the Rat goes back under storage insurance and gets tucked into the corner for the winter. [emoji6]

1st Gen MINIs, while carrying much BMW DNA, retain enough Rover / British Leyland spirit to randomly unreliable and fickle, like some members of the Royal family.

That's why they came with a British Leyland badge on the boot.

Thanks Dave, got to have the old styled speed shop logo though... Needs something to draw you in before you get close enough to really look at the paint. ;)
I will put you down for the bottom, but you do realize a few weeks ago you where rooting for the top when it was just the text right? :D

NOPE! I am anti vinyl, and you cant paint the glass. It is going on the doors in typical post-war hotrod style. No sleezy tribal graphic stickers for this guy!

Man, can't wait to see this done. But, don't let our impatience rub on you. Masterpieces take time.
The ultimate compliment would be having the dilemma of identifying real rust, should they sent in.....:D

Need at least three bullet holes in your new drivers side door graphics. :D
Shoot it (literally) clear it and seal it on the inside.

Here's the story as told to me by the last owner.

He and a friend were driving down a back road in Texas during hunting season. (You see the problem already and Cheney wasn't around) They heard a loud bang against the side of the car. When they stopped they found the dent. They were just glad it wasn't 2 inches higher. Sorry it wasn't more exciting but at least it wasn't "it was there when I woke up".

It is from a large cal round but have been coming down and lost the velocity. Body shop guys have said that it stretched metal as far as possible with making a hole. No I'm not going to get it fixed. It makes a nice story.

Sorry for the hijack. Now back to the Rat Rod.....

    Oh you two...

The high build primer is on, just got to let it cure, block it down to level it out, and I am ready for all the coats of rust. :)

Yes Colin... You can see another motor in the above pic... After the body is done, I will be going through it, replacing some stuff, and yanking the original. Then its painting the frame rails while everything is out, and the replacement goes in. :D
